  1. North Park Place renderings are here! http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/designreview/drcagenda/2019/12202019/index.php
  2. So glad to finally get a better idea of the Metro South Plan.
  3. Plans for the Larchmere Mixed Use development are online. Looks like a mix of retail, office space, and a couple apartments. http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/designreview/drcagenda/2019/12202019/index.php
  4. Oh wow I'm dumb. I just remember seeing the project with nothing being done for so long. I'm surprised it finally got started
  5. It's been just sitting there on Opportunity CLE for awhile. Don't think it's actually going to happen.
  6. Building permits filed today for the repurposing of 13905 Kinsman Ave into a BBQ restaurant by the people behind "Southern Cafe" in Lakewood. This is in the Mt Pleasant neighborhood. Nothing big but it's been a pretty slow news day.
  7. Which would put them in 44106. Didn't include them in the count because no construction permit has been filed yet.
  8. Im adding up housing units (renovation or new) from permits filed in the calendar year 2019 for different zip codes. Probably off by a few units because I'm just doing this by myself with public access permits. Just did 44113 and it doesn't really fit in any development area/thread so here we go random. 44106 was 501 units for an increase of ~5.26% with some uncertainty due to how many homes are CLE heights vs CLE. 44113 was 1,539 units or an increase of 14.69% in homes. All that in 1 calendar year.
  9. Oh and I'm an idiot so I forgot part of 44106 is in Cleveland Heights. I can't find exact data for the Cleveland heights portion but based on census tracts and population density it makes up what I'm approximating to be 4,000 households. Once readjusted for this the increase in households for the Cleveland portion of 44106 comes out to ~5.26%. I think I'll see about doing this for some other CLE zip codes
  10. I decided to add up how many new housing units there were from building permits in 44106 for the year. This doesn't mean buildings completed in 2019 (Centric) or places without building permits for construction filed yet (library lofts, E 90). Just based off of permits in the calendar year. My count (probably off by a couple) was 501 new units (part renovation part new construction). In a zip code with 13,514 units based on the last count, this would mark a 3.71% increase in one year. And things only seen to be accelerating for the future.
  11. Here's the floor plan: 6 available retail spaces of varying sizes, not including the rooftop restaurant/bar spot.
  12. It was nice finally getting to put faces to some screen names! Definitely wanna do this again.
  13. It's almost definitely the square footage that's wrong. It's just the numbers that were listed on the city permits online (55k and 36k for the 2 buildings). Those are messed up all the time.
  14. Wouldn't be the first time the city records had typos lol
  15. A yoga studio is planning on opening at 5407 Detroit Ave (across from Saigon Plaza) (same building as Maelstrom Arts).
  16. Building permits for the 8 townhomes were filed just today!
  17. http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/designreview/brd/detailDR.php?ID=3383&CASE=NW 2019-040 Design review case for 8 unit townhome project "Due North Townhomes" at 2329 W 16th Pl (near Scranton Rd and Kenilworth).
  18. http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/designreview/brd/detailDR.php?ID=3386&CASE=SE 2019-039 It's a design review case now. And happy news, it's something mixed use!
  19. I'm kinda on the fence but still leaning towards this project being negative overall. For every national retailer open at the outlets, that's one less business that could have been in the actual urban fabric of our city. We're starting to get a bit repetitive/off-topic now though so maybe we should cool it soon.
  20. The big building at 6510 Euclid Ave is being demolished. Preparing the area for upcoming developments.
  21. Maybe I'll actually go to this one and finally meet some other weirdos obsessed with Cleveland development. Lol and if you somehow got Kunstler hell ya I'm in.
  22. Coffee and beer spot (do I call it a bar or a cafe??) called "Blue Sky Brews" coming to the spot Rising Star just moved out of.
  23. @B767PILOT @inlovewithCLE Can't say. Sorry guys please don't hate me ?
  24. Rumi's has been publicly for sale for over 2 years now (with a mention of "CONFIDENTIAL - please do not contact tenant") and still no buyer.
