Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
With all that is going on in the nation right now, we all need some good news. To finally get these parcels away from the Jacobs and into the hands of a party we all know will put them to good use is absolutely exhilarating!

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
^ We haven't seen anything like this in our lifetimes and the country/world hasn't since the Great Depression; GDP's negative because at least 1/4 of the population isn't working.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
The government is projecting an 18 month duration, as wave after wave of newly infected, newly immunized, newly infected, newly immunized present themselves. This thing needs to work it's way through the global population until everyone has acquired immunity through exposure or vaccination. Government is attempting to manage the process so as not to overwhelm our extremely limited medical resources.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
Except for the Hilton Convention Center and a few others, Marriott (and Sheraton subs) will pretty much own the downtown hotel market. While the Ritz-Carlton is impressive, the addition of a JW Marriott will take the Cleveland hotel market to a whole different level.

Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
Is the "Cleveland Live" concept still in play or was that scrapped with the original development plans?

Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
^ There's this thing, that's been around in one form or another for a century. It's called GCRTA.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
With so many of us social/physical distancing, it's a great opportunity to spruce things up at home, begin our Spring cleaning. SW may actually be pretty resilient during the coming months.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
SW continues to drive earnings as they prepare for HQ development. Over the last twelve months, ROE was 37%; more than three times the average within their industry. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/sherwin-williams-company-nyse-shw-133522719.html

^ In case you haven't noticed, I love Knez. They probably don't need it, but I wish them the best in front of Design Review.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Wow! Except for that SW corner, I don't even recognize W. 25th & Detroit. I've driven past there so many times, from the Warehouse District/downtown to Ohio City, but the transformation over the past few years is just amazing. Love it!

^It is. Then why would the City ghost Pace?

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
One can only assume that someone with a bigger plan and deeper pockets has come along. While a terrible way to end the relationship, it may turn out to be for the best as DP's partnership dissolved and the project was moving along much too slowly.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
I think that was part of the enthusiasm around the beleaguered, original Nucleus proposal; it was supposed to have a "Cleveland Live" venue, that would have also served as an E. 4th Street extension. The watered-down version makes no mention.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
There is also the option of placing a portion of the garage below grade, so it wouldn't be as imposing of a structure.

Cleveland: Glenville: Development and News
The price is right and they serve a purpose, but the renderings make them look much more attractive than they do in the photo. The problem could be that it sits sideways on the lot. The side with the actual entrance is much more attractive and doesn't have the exposed utilities.

Cleveland: Glenville: Development and News
^ I will assume that these do not require approval by the Design Review Board. While there's a dramatic need for affordable housing, they can certainly be more attractive than this. Phenomenal landscaping can't even make this attractive. It's awful!

Cleveland: Glenville: Development and News
^ What is this a photo of? The building is terribly unattractive.

Cleveland: Fairfax: Development and News
Depending upon specifics, it could be a nod toward the social determinants of health (SDOH). CCF is often criticized for the contrast between itself and the surrounding community.

Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
I think it has gotten worse over time. Earlier buildings at least provided a modest attempt to be outwardly friendly, but lately the focus has been almost exclusively inward.

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
There used to be neon signs above Carnegie with green arrows and red x's to indicate the approved traffic direction-downtown in am and out of downtown in pm. I thought they also had them on Cedar Hill going into the Heights.

^ For those who question, Knez Homes is what visionary leadership looks like.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I've been so impressed by Knez. I like some designs more than others, but they strive to develop their buildings with the surrounding neighborhood in mind. Also, while they could be using less expensive materials, it's good to see them using DuPont branded Tyvek.

When I lived in Lakewood, worked at UH, MS, CCF and the VA, depending upon the time of day, East Blvd (MLK) to the Shoreway was also an alternate route from UC to downtown. Does Carnegie still convert to one-way during rush hours?
