Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
More glass but, not so sure about the white. I agree with you regarding the need for more brightness, but can you imagine attempting to clean the facade (ie; Euclid Grand) of a white building after 50 years of exposure to the NEO elements? Having reflective glass buildings interspersed with the traditional brick and mortar could be very attractive, as the Lumen and Hilton have demonstrated. Every new building in Miami these days is white and turquoise, white and gray or white and black, and its become boring. Imagine how much brighter Prospect & Superior would be if the Lausche State Office Building were light reflective vs black glass.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
It was the second tallest building in the world when it was completed!

Also, as I recall, it was a very unattractive, form-follows-function, three-story garage that actually would have been more attractive if it had been a surface lot. Oh, did I mention it was painted sky blue.

Looks like one of the Weston lots was already a parking lot and the other a parking garage in 1980. It's unbelievable that it will have taken 40 years to get rid of those eyesores!

"Idk, Google doesn’t seem to know what a “corporate hq urban campus” is. Lol" Why am I not surprised? Who created the term? TYVM.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
When built, it was the first major PS construction since 55 PS, and it dramatically changed the skyline. While not a fan of its color, I do like the design and the way in which it embraces the PS site.

Not sure about sites or threats to relocate, but in the mid-80's, the city prohibited any buildings to exceed the height of the Terminal Tower.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Also the air carriers are looking at medium markets for international business expansion; Airbus recently killed its A380 program. That has Airbus, Boeing and the engine manufacturers focused on smaller, more fuel efficient aircraft for the future of international air travel into these medium markets (Airbus A321XLR). Will Cleveland be positioned to take advantage of the opportunity?

I suspect that Frankfort from W. 3rd to W. 6th will be eliminated to make a continuous parcel.

Billion-dollar +, single development on Public Square, that gets rid of that $#@%&* decades-old parking lot oasis, is and of itself a gamechanger. Period!

Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
So you invest tens of millions of dollars on construction of a new "luxury residential" high rise and open with a front door looking like that? I would think that Stark would have heads rolling....

The Renaissance Hotel (aka Sheraton-Cleveland, aka Stouffers Tower City) has been renovated/reincarnated so many times, it should be almost out of lives by now. Great architecture and location, but I have to imagine that without gutting it, all renovations are laborious and expensive.

Weren't there also rumblings of a Renaissance Hotel expansion if SW chose this location? The two developments could significantly improve W. Superior's walkability score.

A low-to-mid rise campus on Weston's lots (similar to Amazon), with a taller HQ building on PS, would integrate well into the existing warehouse district/public square streetscape.

Comcast Center campus in Philly is a recent development. It's a mixed-use development that includes a Four Seasons hotel.
