Let's make sure we walk the talk.

All of the concern may be for naught. I suspect that SW, the City, County and State may have already informally discussed the future of SW on PS.

I think Marty15 is on to something. If there are developer reservations about the for sale market, the rent-to-own-option could be a method of transitioning into the for sale market. It could also provide a viable option for those whose annual income disqualifies them for a traditional mortgage. It could open up numerous opportunities for new condo development.

Not sure about condos due to the need to cover maintenance costs, but otherwise it could be a great idea, provided they meet their commitments to the potential buyer(s). A reliable vendor could certainly help renters-to-own and avoid the 2008 housing crisis that hit Cleveland and other cities so hard.

I wonder if a Supertall, similar to the one's along Central Park South in Manhattan, with a condo/floor, could fit into that space?

Agreed. Landmark, even with its renovation over the years, is still almost 90 YO. It couldn't possibly meet the needs of today's corporations and continued renovations would be expensive.

Agree 100%. Not sure of the cost for the original construction, annual maintenance costs or how it's paid for but MIA has a no-fare People Mover that runs from Edgwater/Adrienne Arsht Center to the Art Museums/Frost Science Center to Bayfront Park/AA Arena to Civic Center to Brickel and back again. It really takes $$$, leadership and commitment to pull it off. I use it alot rather than drive and pay to park. Unfortunately, most of the time its empty. A CLE project to tie PS and new SW HQ to all other CBD districts would be phenomenal but costly.

Not only that, it was a joint statement from the City, County and Community Development. Where's the leadership here?- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Has anyone heard of a response to this from City Hall? What the #@!% are they waiting for?- Cleveland: Ohio City: INTRO (Market Square / Harbor Bay Development)
This project will also positively impact foot traffic at Westside Market, a real Cleveland gem. I have fond memories of my Saturday morning trips there from my Lakewood condo.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
...and I haven't rolled into a BP gas station since this was announced. Horton abandoned Cleveland to line his pockets.- Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
Could this Cleveland.com criticism of the Mayor and City Hall on a different, unrelated issue (his grandson), be in reference to Nucleus? "The damning bad judgment in all this came from the leader of a city where worthwhile projects now come to get ensnarled in or devoured by the red tape his minions manufacture."- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
A new SW HQ on PS would fit beautifully into this picture, nudged between Lou Stokes Court Tower & Terminal Tower.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
From Cleveland.com: "Mayor Frank Jackson’s press office did not respond to a request for comment." After being rumored for years, why is it that the Mayor's Office has no response on such an important issue? They should have had a statement prepared and been all over this like City Council and other civic leaders.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
We must not overlook the human capital costs; costs associated with relocating 4000+ employees away from Cleveland AND the "brain drain" as a result of those who elect to stay put in NEO.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
On a relative basis, Cleveland has a relatively low cost of living. Relocation of 4,000 employees would be a major additional company paid expense, assuming all employees would be willing to relocate to an area with a higher cost of living.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Construction of that magnitude would require Turner or Gilbane, locally.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
That would make it the tallest or second tallest building in the city/state.- Cleveland: Random Development and News
These surface lot eyesores should be banned. It's amazing that the house on the far right is still there and appears to be in good condition after 73+ years!- Cleveland: Random Development and News
Not sure. So much abandonment, deterioration and brownfielding has occurred in this neighborhood over the past 70 years.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I love these juicy morsels.....- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Each of the three "Cs" has their own unique qualities that should be marketed accordingly to attract conventions. Unlike the other two, Cleveland benefits from world-reknowned, outstanding arts & culture (CMA, PHSF, CO, RRHF, etc.)3 pro-sports team venues, top-world ranked medical facilities, proximity to Cedar Point/Lake Erie islands and a dense urban core. Are these advantages being appropriately marketed to conventioners?- Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
Does anyone know the plans for the lot that they are currently using for staging? Is that for the next phase? - Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
