^ The slowness of "some" projects. Numerous other projects have come, been completed and gone while this particular project continues with all the hype and no progress.

Cleveland: Wind Turbine Construction News
Never seen such a ba$$ 'ackward decision in state government! This kind of consistently poor decision making and regressive policymaking is what makes current citizens and potential new citizens bail on the state.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I think they both have just gotten to be too big and with their 2009 acquisitions, they've only gotten worse instead of better.

Is there something going on with Ohio banking laws? Neither B of A nor Wells Fargo have branches in Cleveland.

Cleveland: Downtown: May Company Building
It's called "attention to detail." While we have all raved about the fantastic restoration of this Cleveland landmark, this little oversight detracts from the entire project. Someone should fix it and someone should be held accountable for letting this happen at a newly leasing building in the first place.

Cleveland: MetroHealth Medical Center
Bottom line: 1. Bad optics 2. Turner Construction will not allow its reputation to be tarnished, nor be fined or sued for ignoring the situation. Nor should they; not by a few disrespectful, irresponsible, racist incidents, especially in today's environment where Aunt Jemima is being rebranded due to its negative racial overtones. It's easy to dismiss when you're not the one being offended. Whether it's a frequent occurrence or not, doesn't make it any more acceptable. It's wrong. Period. In corporate terms, it's considered harrassment. Agree with it/like it, or not, it's the responsible, respectful thing to do. I would expect nothing less from a respectful, honorable large multi-cultural corporation such as Turner.

Cleveland: MetroHealth Medical Center
It's not a good look for one of the nation's most socially segregated cities and for an institution that serves so many of the area's underprivileged. Turner Construction however is a reputable organization that will not tolerate this kind of behavior and will nip this nonsense in the bud.

Seriously? It's 2020 and after 400+ years we're still dealing with these issues?

Love the design - a slight "industrial" edge that pays tribute to the area's history.

The Justice Center Tower is the big surprise here! This has it as #2 in height, even surpassing the proposed SW HQ.

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
Cleveland (CMHD) had a concentration of public housing between Woodland and Central or Hough Aves., from around E. 22nd to E. 30th Sts. They weren't massive high-rises, but they were 4-5 stories, pretty dense and pretty contained . I'm not sure of their current status, but they were regionally notorious; drug infested and dangerous in the 80s.

Interesting development @KJP. We had previously discussed foreign investors and developers in Miami, moving into Cleveland.

^ If I have the opportunity to drive up to Cleveland before the summer is over, I'll know where to take my Porsche for servicing (and the DL on Cityblock).

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
The FEB of the 70s was seedy and shabby, but interesting. It started to improve significantly in the mid-to-late 80s (with my favorite restaurant Sammy's) until its demise. I agree, having an entertainment District is important for tourism and locals. As great as E. 4th Street and the Warehouse District are, FEB adds to the mix. For those living there though, they need more convenient retail options, even a convenience store (down the hill).

I love the red accents against the black, white and gray palette. Lots of class but then again, we should expect nothing less from the PSF.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Ok, let's get this project rolling! SW vans and trucks have been on the roads throughout the pandemic and my local store on Biscayne Blvd in Miami has been open. If you're stuck at home, why not spend that time doing some remodeling? That being said, beating Q2 revenue and earnings estimates should come as no surprise. But surprisingly, they also beat last year's Q2 earnings estimates; a time period devoid of a global pandemic. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/sherwin-williams-shw-q2-earnings-131501478.html

Cleveland: Ohio City: INTRO (Market Square / Harbor Bay Development)
They cant get this built fast enough. Despite it's novelty and cool urban aesthetic, anything to help generate foot traffic for the Westside Market is a huge positive. The status of this great Cleveland landmark has me concerned. It's too much of a treasure.

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
I seem to remember that they were conducting some geo-technical drilling about 6 months to a year ago. The project may still be in the works just on a delayed timeline, like so many other things. There is still a need for more affordable housing in the CBD.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
^ My parents worked for and met on Cleveland Transit System (CTS), driving streetcars. That was a great time and I remember them taking us to the "Car Barns" as kids.
