  6. This is what I was getting at upthread a bit. They have moved some ops/people from Twin Cities to Cleveland already. I would think such moves would have been postponed if they were seriously considering leaving for other climes
  7. Also, citing a lack of a hub is an easy excuse to relocate because the city in which they are leaving cant replicate it. It's easier to justify leaving because of no hub than it is because the new city gave great ax breaks and lax zoning

  13. I've lived in Manhattan for decades and I've never really paid it much mind
  14. Seems like a pretty pro-forma announcement that SH is building a new HQ and that their options are open. At least they acknowledged what everyone knows.
  15. It's not only runway length but also loading on the surface. Will the surface of the runway, taxiway and tarmac support the weight of the aircraft? Also, are the runways and taxiways wide enough. There's a lot of different variables
  16. I'll take a look at that. We dont fly the 767 to CLE - maybe a sports charter. UA definitely has diversions to CLE
  17. This may have been discussed before, but would Playhouse Square Foundation be interested in taking over this Project? From what I've read, they have the appetite for another residential tower. Since their ROI is more moderate, maybe they could resurrect the original design

  20. Well, we have the Med Mart on property. I've been away a long time so forgive the lack knowledge on how that is working. But I think I recently read where they know they have the ability and space for larger shows but not the additional near property hotel space to carry it off
  21. I dont either and I actually hope that Burke can be used for other purposes. The key is to prove to the FAA that a viable alternative exists; or, can be made viable. It's not the Grant money. It's the pavement and facilities.
  22. What about a hotel 450-500 rooms? Wouldnt this give the CC better chance of landing some really big events?
  23. Lol put it on ice?? Burke is open 24/7. One doesnt put airports like Burke on ice. It has Federal Control Tower, is an airport of entry, etc, etc
  24. By the way, returning funds to the FAA ain't the problem. To close Burke you need viable alternatives. Lost Nation, Cuyahoga County, Lorain County, Summit County really aren't. Could you make one of those airports into a viable alternative. Sure. Can you afford the litigation to do so?
