2 new airports coming to Ohio?
To your first point, there are no new major airports currently planned in the US. The funding isnt there for it - and thats bi- partisan. Your second point is still being debated. An A321XLR or B737-900ER MAX are not true B757-200ER replacements which is the segment they are trying to make inroads. Lufhansa publically stated at their Capital Markets Conference earlier this year that they have no intetest in the XLR. Remenber, both of those aircraft are just hybrids of previous iterations and both hybrids do sacrifice certain performance issues. My guess is that there will be tech stops in winter flying westbound (possibly a reason the Icelanders suspended CLE - besides max issues). Also, for the premium flyer that has to make a connection anyway to a city like Stockholm or Rome, for their money, they'll chosse the superior product - which aint a B737-900ER

2 new airports coming to Ohio?
Had they gone ahead with this, the completion date would have roughly coincided with airline deregulation and the birth of FedEx and like freight lines. The Lake Erie Jetport could have been a game changer...and throw in a transportation center. The Feds were actually very keen on this concept

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
You aint kidding lol. Ive been based in ATL off and on throughout my career. Having flown the world in my career, i always point out in conversations with the local denizens about how certains views, buildings, etc remind me of cleveland. I never tell them im from cleveland so i dont appear biased. Those comparisons really sober them up. Especially those on our West Coast

So considering that SW planned for Weston/Jacobs all along despite their press releases to include out of state locals could mean that any info about what kind of buildings go up could mean anything.

Ive seen Trivago when visiting family. Dusseldorf is a great city. Wouldnt it be great to incorporate Giant on PS? One could stroll over Superior and traffic maintained

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Excellent point. I think the only true fact we know is that SW will build a new HQ downtown on parcels of land as yet to be determined

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Simultaneous for take off and landing. However simultaeous take off for 6L/R-24L/R and same for simultaneous landing are somewhat staggered. There is a slight delay between the two. I beleive the minimum separation between parallel runways for unrestricted simultaneous ops is 2,500 feet and CLE isnt that far apart though much greater than they were before the construction of the new runway.
