  1. No real noticeable exterior progress in the last month for Gallery 7 - I assume they must be doing interior work/having random subs working intermittently? Electric gardens is coming along.
  2. I don't know how well this would translate to Cleveland and Public Square (weather, traffic, open-air design...), but that description reminded me of the Brickell City Centre in Miami, which spans across S Miami Ave, leading to more shopping and their Eighth Street Metromover station. It struck me as way better than the Skybridges leading to the Casino or found on CCF campus. https://goo.gl/maps/d7PHGsdyE6nfyLBg6
  3. Depends on how hard @KJP wears them down with requests ?
  4. Great news. Between this property, INTRO, and what appears will be a MRN-led red line greenway project, this will be a hot corridor for development. Perhaps that will incentivize plans for the rest of Brickhaus's 1.3 acres - those still have no announced plans, right?
  5. After hearing an radio ad earlier this week paid by "boaters" against the turbines, I'm glad to see this surprising decision. Hopefully things start to move a bit faster so there are no more u-turns or further changes in approvals. And the residents of Bratenahl can stop pretending this is going to impede their views when it's 8-10 miles out vs the 3.5 mile water intake crib.
  6. Anyone see any movement on that site yet? Does September (this month) or Spring seem more likely?
  7. @KJP how does this money affect the possibilities you wrote about here? http://neo-trans.blogspot.com/2020/06/gcrta-may-unify-its-rail-system-with.html

  14. Adding lane-miles is ODOT's specialty. I think we can agree we'd like a windfall like that for commuter rail when this kind of money can be justified with memorable quotes like: I'd be happy to connect Akron with Cleveland via CVSR at B&O station...but I digress.
  15. This seems like the most appropriate thread for this: https://www.cleveland.com/news/2020/09/odots-proposal-to-add-lanes-to-i-77-in-northern-summit-county-could-boost-akrons-economy-local-officials-say.html Can't help but think of the Miller Rd ramp project related to SHW as well.
  16. Google Maps does show an Arby's at the address in place of Steak N Shake.
  17. Yes, that's the one he was talking about.
  18. Bing's aerial footage has One University Circle. It's actually too low to the ground to see wade lagoon very easily in the same shot without a little bit of panning: https://www.bing.com/maps?osid=66eb1774-2ac2-4ecc-8c3d-88bf8aa72f0d&cp=41.504136~-81.611292&lvl=20&dir=180&style=g&imgid=1151feb8-c6d9-4c57-9d0e-8f6b9bdeac46&v=2&sV=2&form=S00027
  19. Well, we can safely say that none of the $331.3 million budget was directed towards graphic designers. The acoustic Metallica was an interesting surprise. Tunneling under E-55th street and the bridge over the RTA tracks seems like the most substantial work that is obvious from this update. There's an ungodly amount of grading/earth-moving ahead. Between land remediation, utility work, the trail work, intersections/traffic lights...it's crazy how much is involved with a project of this size. Seeing all the mounds of fill dirt covered with vegetation makes the panning flyover shots pretty desolate looking.

  21. Speaking of the lights, the map from the last page has been updated through Tuesday, 8/25 and now says 71.60% complete - 43,522/60,779. https://www.cpp.org/Initiatives/LED-Streetlight-Installation
  22. Hot off the presses...
  23. Euclid, Cuyahoga County celebrate first piece of innovative lakefront trail and look ahead to bigger projects https://www.cleveland.com/news/2020/08/euclid-cuyahoga-county-celebrate-first-piece-of-innovative-lakefront-trail-and-look-ahead-to-bigger-projects.html
  24. Akron Fulton seems like it would be more appropriate - its aerial distance is almost the same as Lost Nation from CLE (both around ~30 miles vs ~40 for CAK) and doesn't have the scheduled commercial service that CAK has. That being said, Summit County is not part of the same MPO - it is part of AMATS rather than NOACA.
