  1. Hopefully this can be considered in context with the Wendy Park Bridge in addition to how heavy truck traffic may be redirected. Zone & Mr. "Freaking" McCormack seem to have people's best interests in mind. Interestingly, regarding the respiratory data map shown in the article: I pulled up the EJSCREEN map with the NATA Respiratory HI layer compared to state percentiles and the map looked different.
  2. Crain's article on the City Club approval: https://www.crainscleveland.com/real-estate/cleveland-planning-commission-greenlights-city-club-apartments-tower-plan-downtown
  3. I only looked at it from the Euclid frontage, but I agree. It really matched the rest of the new construction retail storefronts in the immediate area. I think ordinary pedestrians wouldn't notice that it was built at a different time than the rest of the area. I think @X is right - once some actual tenants fill in the street level, it would be indistinguishable from the rest of the surrounding area. But as an armchair architecture critic looking at the pictures of the E 115th frontage without the rest of the Euclid context...this is an UGLY, bizarre mishmash of materials and a BUNKER of a building. Honestly does not provoke any notice in person. It's not thought-provoking and easily flies under the radar, but it's continued density in the area at street level. Prior to looking at it in person, I didn't have any redeeming feedback other than the fact it wasn't a vacant lot.
  4. And currently looking on the BOA website, the closest locations that show up are in Detroit.
  5. Yes, the tweet named Bank of America.
  6. Here's a shot of our favorite building from the Euclid side today
  7. Some pics of the Cozad-Bates house today
  8. A quick post-Barrio progress shot on Gallery 7 Townhomes on the corner of W 7th & Literary as of yesterday
  9. @GISguy I think your ride through Ohio City needs a little detour to Church + State ? ...and maybe the Dexter ?
  10. Banned. Like the obstructionism in this project ought to be. Some say he's still thumbs downing posts to this day. Hopefully these people don't try wasting more time and appealing to the Ohio SC.
  11. So nice to see some movement with Terdolph Park's development! This really has dragged on far too long.
  12. So long as we're pretending, I like the excuse of developing a downtown loop to serve the site on Payne Avenue...but even with that combination, I'm sure the board members would heavily prefer either the Bedrock or Stark sites.
  13. This article was so full of ideas that I overlooked this. Your idea for an elevated infill red line station with connections to the greenway trail is the real winner in my eyes.
  14. Great to hear more about these plans. Here's a usable version of the study map that is actually legible: https://cloudfront-us-east-1.images.arcpublishing.com/advancelocal/YCIIVXO7FVCO3NK35DV6H7WMBM.jpg This area in particular would be key! (as seen from the Brew Boat) I keep editing this post because I love so many parts of the spirit of the plan: So big to have this type of direct connection. The CVSR makes long one way trips so nice in Combination with the Bike Aboard! program. Connectivity in/out of the flats is so big, especially beyond vehicular traffic. Absolutely important in helping to SHARE the river in harmonious uses forced to be juxtaposed together between the industrial roots as an active shipping channel and the rediscovery of the river as a recreational asset as its water quality has improved. I just have to stop myself. I love how holistic this plan is.
  15. View of both sides from Bing Aerial View
  16. Love this, looks so fresh and inviting...but I think the 5th street arcade might want their Red topsy-turvy chairs back!
  17. That site is surprisingly bucolic compared to the neighborhood past Cuyahoga Street in North Hill. So close on a map, but the bridge over the little Cuyahoga feels like a substantial pedestrian barricade to any sort of physical or social connection with the surrounding neighborhood.
  18. The store appears to own the space. The name of the property owner listed is associated with DETROIT-WEST 28TH ST., INC. which is associated with the store's address. The Articles of Incorporation state their purpose as "To carry on the business of buying, selling leasing and otherwise dealing in grocery, food products, beer, wine, soft drink beverages, and all kindered (sic) and related products, to be sold at retail or wholesale in conformity with the laws of the State of Ohio, Cuyahoga County and City of Cleveland"...

  20. While not as nice as the historical photo, I'd take this over a bunch plastic blowing in the wind on the city's most prominent street! Has to leave a much better impression on both longtime residents and those visiting the city alike.
  21. In theory, retaining Benesch as an anchor tenant would be a timely driver for some movement with nuCLEus right about now, one would hope.
