  1. Just get it started. Branch off on West 25th and run to the zoo. Then, continue the trunk to Lakewood.
  2. Yeah, that's what I meant.
  3. I have a genius idea: Why not put a choo-choo in it and run people from downtown to the new collision bend park?
  4. Wasn't this the more urban-designed gas station with its pumps hidden behind the building that abuts the sidewalk? While gas stations are generally a negative, this one wouldn't be so ugly.
  5. No surprise. The last time I was there, less than half the storefronts had tenants and the parking lot was like the surface of the moon.
  6. Atlanta has failed to support an NHL team(Flames and Thrashers) twice. I don't see them risking it again. OKC does have a lot of support. Montreal could also support an English-speaking team if there is a new Canadian team.
  7. So the grocery is open 24 hours a day? I assume that the parking is for the grocery when tenants are at work. But when the tenants are home, the grocery is closed most of the time. The spaces can be shared.
  8. Not only that, there is a franchise in Columbus two hours away which basically represents all of Ohio, Pittsburgh (two and a half hours away), Detroit, Buffalo, and still only three hours away Toronto. There is already too much market overlap.
  9. Frankly, there are better solutions.
  10. Oh, I forgot, Lucky's Market on Clifton and 116th.
  11. With Giant Eagle at Bunts and Sapell's at 117th, the east side of Lakewood is pretty well covered. I think a great area to put a grocery store would be at the western end of Madison. It is a walkable neighborhood with a lot of multi-family housing.
  12. Although it is from August, I just got this. https://www.axios.com/local/cleveland/2024/08/21/cleveland-city-council-override-planning-commission-gas-station-madison?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter_axioslocal_cleveland&stream=top
  13. Fabulous presentation. Shows what improvements can be made with existing infrastructure. An observation deck on the lift bridge, is brilliant!
  14. Hopefully, this disgraceful episode will be over and the park will be completed.
  15. I believe that it is officially the “Hope Memorial Bridge” https://case.edu/ech/articles/h/hope-memorial-bridge
  16. To clarify, I wasn't saying the sculpture looked stupid, just the ear lying on the side of the dog's head. Yay for more public art!
  17. It was the middle of the Great Depression and labor was cheap.
  18. Or at least it is in Quebec. While 911 (which is on the truck) is used in Canada, the French emergency numbers are: 15 (ambulance), 17 (police), 19 (fire), 112 (general emergency for English speakers), 114 (general emergency for hearing impaired), 115 homeless person emergency, 116 (child danger emergency), 191 (aircraft in distress), 196 (maritime emergency), and 197 (terrorism).
  19. How come I’m never nearby when this kind of stuff happens?
  20. Who cares? Don’t we have enough parking already?
  21. There are none on the westside. There are only 2 other stand-alone restaurants, Garfield and Cuyahoga Falls. There are also franchises in Salvatore's Pizza in Rochester NY and The Twin Oaks Convenience Store in Pomeroy OH. Thank you, Wikipedia.
