  1. Agreed. DC has its own European vibe. Which makes it unique.
  2. Soon we’ll have just as many parking lots as we did last year again!
  3. With our narrow focus, we’d all get up and sing “Big Yellow Taxi.” “You pave paradise, put up a parking lot!”
  4. “The hippest spot in town”
  5. Because other teams have state of the art stadiums. If a potential superstar player has a choice between accepting an offer from a team with a modern fully equipped stadium or one from a team with an older obsolete one, which do you think they would choose? Teams that want to win want to attract the best players.
  6. Actually the Mirage in Las Vegas is becoming the Hard Rock Hotel and here is a rendering
  7. I love that the developers appear to have similar goals. To develop a mixed use, mixed income, walkable “15 minute” neighborhood. Awesome article Ken!
  8. Maybe one day downtown will look like this
  9. Maybe they did think about that and know that Zagara’s is a larger store and they can put a Lucky’s in the now vacant building.
  10. Frankly, I wish the station pointed inward with a wall on the corner to hide the pumps.
  11. I agree. Big parks are nice but the a small garden or playground can make a neighborhood
  12. In my opinion, there is very little gentrification in the city of Cleveland. Most of what is occurring is run down neighborhoods are simply going through a redevelopment stage.
  13. I particularly like that the plan for the church reuse on Orchard was reversed to put the garages on an alleyway not on the street promoting walkability. I hope this becomes the model for future projects like this.
  14. Great News about the Oswald Kamm Building in Kamm's Corner's WPKND is excited to share that plans to update the Oswald Kamm Building at the corner of Rocky River Drive and Lorain Avenue are underway. Plans will align the building footprint more closely with its historic layout with the demolition of the rear addition and outdoor tiki bar. Once removed, a landscaped patio and updated parking lot will complete the project. This major investment by the owners will help facilitate the attraction of a new business bringing vibrancy to one of the neighborhood’s most important corners. Stay tuned in the coming months for updates! #wpknd #westparkcle

  16. Maybe I'm confused, but isn't that "Form Based Codes" are supposed to do? https://planning.clevelandohio.gov/fbc/
  17. I'm an optimist, The Schofield and 75 Public Square, which both had awful facades, were both restored to former glory. So there is hope!
  18. This whole article seemed to be more public relations than news. Maybe he's concerned about his image?
