  1. Charles Slife for Mayor! (Whenever Bibb decides not to run again!)
  2. So let me get this straight... They're planning on demolishing a potentially historically significant building in a historical district (although unlike most other buildings in the district this one isn't on the National Register), and replacing it with a parking lot and a historical marker. Only in America!
  3. I think it looks better now than it did in that picture!
  4. There was a fire in the building several years ago in the basement and that section of the building was sealed off. Repairing that damage may require some demo.
  5. Those damn walkers can be a nuisance can’t they?!!
  6. Why didn't we take pictures? But in all seriousness, It was a great meetup!
  7. We were there. Just leaving now.
  8. My vote is happy hour/dinner. Working.
  9. Particularly because GM and Ford announced they are going to stop producing gasoline powered cars by 2035. https://www.csnews.com/automakers-lay-out-plans-eliminate-gas-powered-vehicles
  10. If it were me, I would build a streetcar line. Not the BRT. Like Portland.
  11. Looks like a suburban chiropractor's office.
  12. Where should the station for the hyperlink be? Lakefront or Tower City?
  13. Maybe my math is wrong, but if the building on the Jacob’s lot is only two stories, will busses and trucks be able to clear underneath the skywalk ? That first floor had better be pretty high.

  15. This is not the same downtown that was in Cleveland 25 years ago. Back then, downtown couldn't even support a grocery store. The downtown population has tripled. The new residents need high end retail.

  17. Free parking is the antithesis of urbanism.
  18. I always thought using the Main Avenue Bridge as a support, running gondolas (ala Cedar Point and ski lifts) would be a simple and unique way to transport people back and forth across the river. Efficient, cheap, and fun.
  19. You’re right about the public restrooms. As a former Uber/Lyft driver downtown it cut my night short very often when after 11 pm there was no place to go. If there had been restrooms available I might have stayed on the road. I wonder if the lack of safe transportation is killing downtown nightlife
