Cleveland: Duck Island: Development and News
Could be an old name. The elementary school in that neighborhood, Luis Munoz Marin, was formerly named Abraham Lincoln.

Maybe they will herd sheep there again. https://www.farmanddairy.com/news/sheep-in-the-city/427614.html

Cleveland: West Park / Kamms Corners: Development and News
There were rumors that an international market was going in the building. But this is unconfirmed.

Cleveland: Hough: Development and News
I never understood why those houses were built in the first place. If you are going to build in an urban environment, create a home which will not only be an urban style but encourage renovation of the historic homes in the surrounding neighborhood.

Cleveland: Buckeye-Shaker: Development and News
Those buildings are beautiful. Tearing them down will not only destroy the historic Urban fabric of the neighborhood but leave a gaping hole in the block. There has been a great deal of improvement in it and the owners appear to care.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Wasn’t the new convention center built as an incentive to have the medical mart?

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Maybe this is the motivation to more than double the size of the convention center downtown. In it's current size, most of the trade shows and exhibitions that were held at the IX Center can't be accommodated.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
If this is what we get, awesome! It is modern without being gaudy or too trendy. And will play nice in the Public Square sandbox.

Cleveland: West Park / Kamms Corners: Development and News
Let's hope that this is the first of many on that block.

Cleveland: West Park / Kamms Corners: Development and News
In Kamm's , not as many as you would think. Initially, there was a rush but it settled. The neighborhood is where their families, churches, and schools (St Joseph, and OLA also not so far from St. Ed's) are. Not to mention, but when the residency requirement was lifted, property values in the neighborhood were down.

Cleveland: West Park / Kamms Corners: Development and News
I have lived in the Kamm's area for over 20 years. The neighborhood I live in is beautiful with homes of the same vintage and style as Rocky River and Lakewood. My concern is the wave of blight which is getting worse and is not being addressed. There is so much potential in the neighborhood but until something is done to improve the commercial district,

Cleveland: West Park / Kamms Corners: Development and News
Good question. It was updated by Cleveland State last year http://levin.urban.csuohio.edu/capstone2019/index.html

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
At the time, very few people lived downtown. The chicken and egg question is in play now. With new residential properties being developed and the downtown area attracting young affluent people, there will once again be a need for high end retail. Just not in a mall like TC

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
There are so many former industrialized areas in this city that could be potential small downtowns. (e.g. north of St. Clair between E20th and the innerbelt, just south of Gordon Park, Opportunity Corridor) the list goes on and on. Other cities develop those small areas and work to build fill between them.

Cleveland: Flats West Bank: The Viaduct apartment tower
Is it the Viaduct, or the Viadauct?

Cleveland: Random Development and News
New neighborhood? Where?
-
Cleveland: Buckeye-Shaker: Development and News
Probably because with the pandemic. There’s no need for Teach for America since there’s no school.

Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions
I always thought that garage was ugly and stuck out like a sore thumb
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Tower at Erieview & Galleria Renovation
Yes it was. But merchants and restaurants can't survive on only having customers 3 hours a day Monday -Friday (No holidays). The area needs more residential density just like other parts of the city to be viable.
-
Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
I thought you were being facetious when you said this building is beautiful and extends the skyline. Because I saw that big pile of sand in the foreground. Now I get it. Yes, we need many more beautiful tall modern structures (like Lumen) to show the world how amazing our city is.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Link doesn’t work ?

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
I know this hasn’t worked well with the “adopt a highway” program, but I would love to have the opportunity to landscape and maintain a small plot downtown and put up a small sign that says it is being maintained by my small business.

Cleveland: Downtown: Mall Development and News
Forward thinking. These installations will give downtown a new colorful funky vibe!
