  1. Might have missed some but here's what I can think of off the top of my head: $644,800,000
  2. I think you're right. UC and Uptown probably will create an olympic village of sorts. With prices to match.
  3. Uptown has done several mixed use projects before on short vine and other locations around the area. I'm not sure what they're planning here though. That is a significant area to gobble up. It's probably something along the lines as 65 west. I'm curious to see if they keep that corner of mixed use on mcmillian or just, sadly, tear it down. Or maybe they'll surprise all of us and put something unique and heavy on mixed use.
  4. They didn't have their keg room cooler working so they had limited selection. I believe their full menu has lots of local stuff.
  5. So they're really going to make this 8 lane bridge with bike lanes or was that more of a concept? That thing would end up being wider than 75.
  6. According to this webpage it's this part of the building
  7. Old Chem is getting renovated. https://ofcc.ohio.gov/Portals/0/RFQ-UCN-20233A Criteria AE_1.pdf And the RFQ for Siddall Hall renovations have been posted as well. Nothing too interesting beyond that there's going to be a bridge between Calhound, Siddall, and the dining hall there. https://ofcc.ohio.gov/Portals/0/RFQ-UCN-22051A AE.pdf
  8. Props for using OSM. Are you making this data available anywhere?
  9. Anyone know why they're adding these steel beams between columns on the facade?
  10. The only work on their sites I've seen is this drilling that's been going on for a week. I assume it's something to do with the nearby gas line replacement on straight street.
  11. It’s still amazing. To be honest, the part of the view that is obscured is from trees. This is the view from the 9th floor.
  12. Their official instagram still says they haven’t opened. Was this a soft launch?
  13. My biggest take away is that 75 really needs less connections to it right there. There's just so many that all just go to the same street and direction.
  14. Upon further thought and looking at the bus route map, I think you're right. I think getting a transit center with a proper building and shelter on centrally located on campus. The bus stops currently around campus, besides the one on Jefferson are either signs or a small shelter. I've used the 24-hour service before to go downtown and to OTR. It's nice, except for there being a lack of proper bus stops throughout OTR and downtown.
  15. UC didn't renew that deal to buy new shuttle buses for around campus and the blue ash route. I don't see them wanting to renegotiate a deal with Metro when most students live near campus anyway. I also think the students who would ride the bus are going to do so regardless of subsidization. Whereas the people the subsidization would target, e.g. people who bring their cars to the campus area, will have a negative view on busses prior and not utilize it. On the other hand, I think if UC spent some dough getting a shiny new streetcar route up to campus, I think a lot of students would use it rather than the less "old and dirty" busses. Since there isn't already a negative view on streetcars when they come to campus.
  16. I'd honestly say that area has already hit a breaking point. When I lived on Victor Street there would be times where there was no parking from Ohio to Fairview. As for car dependence, I think the streetcar coming up to Clifton would help a lot. I also think it might be time to start looking into getting residence permits for the streets around campus with limited numbers. Maybe one or two cars per apartment. I would be interested to see how the cuf landlords chopping up the inside of houses to have crazy densities have impacted how much parking there is. From my experience, many of the cars parked on these streets rarely move unless there is a long weekend or holiday break when all the students return home.
  17. With how much UC is acquiring land and property for the "Cincinnati Innovation District", I wouldn't be surprised if it's now land speculation. It'd be nice to see UC build another Sawyer Hall on it with some commercial or offices on the lower levels.
  18. Every time I look at the renders, I find something else I don't really like. I now noticed they're planning to put a streetlight right in the middle of the entrance.
  19. I agree. This is by far the worse five on one collage style in CUF I've seen. I thought of an (horrible) idea, though. What if they made a facade based entirely off McMansion styling?
  20. The Deacon ended up not having enough parking for all its residents. Could they have been worried about that? The fifty shades of gray that replaces it is somewhat worse in my mind. At least those had some color. Is it too late in development to voice concerns about these and the lack of any commercial storefront at their meeting on the fourth?
  21. I didn't realize that there was a plan for new development next to Adriatico's. Saw this coming up in the City's planning calendar. More info here. I think the lack of any storefront on the ground floor here is a complete waste. This is such a busy corridor for foot traffic.
  22. I thought it was flat as well. I'm curious to see if they're going to have some sort of drainage between each piece. The prior facade drained in the aluminum pieces between the windows, but it backed up constantly. At least during my time there. I also stumbled upon some studies for the "Calhoun Corridor", aka the strip of grass between the old YMCA and the law building. I'd imagine this building will become much more of the focus in that area rather than the two dorms. I'm not sure if these have been posted before. The imagery they used dates it back prior to 2016.
  23. You'd think UC was hiding something with how hard it is to find anything beyond the same news articles for this project. I found some full res renders on MSA's site. You can zoom and see the detail. Warning though, they're 15MB+. EDIT: You can see Siddall getting the identical treatment in the background of the second image.
  24. I predict it may have been the appearance of the bike lane that UC had a problem with. With it being a big move in the admin could have gotten complaints from more "prestigious" parents during move in who may have had some influence on the "unsightliness" that is traffic cones and the traffic signage. There was also a decent crash at the pedestrian crossing into Stratford Heights that involved two cars. Both driven by what looked to be students. Maybe one of them had enough pull on the admin to remove it? Overall, it was so nice to have that down to one lane to slow and calm down traffic. Although the kamikazes going 70mph+ down it just weaved around, a lot of the more reckless drivers were tamed. Even it was for a few blocks. From a biking perspective, I always hated biking on that road since there was so many distracted drivers going too fast as well. A protected lane was really needed.
  25. I'm very hyped for Somerset. I love the details and open area that they have put into this project.
