  1. Totally agree. That is a gorgeous building. I personally would LOVE to stay there.
  2. Yeah that’s what I thought too, that they were having a somewhat mirror image. Which I think is actually cool, but the city hall just looks cheap in this rendering.
  3. The city did an amazing job with the new police station. It looks like a freaking art museum. But this…this is so LAME. Aeronautics building looks cool.
  4. The walls of the entire first floor are pure concrete and have been poured and they are setting up for the 2nd floor. This building is being built like a brick sh!t house.

  6. Ken, have you heard that, in fact, the final design has been settled upon?
  7. Oh, this vidya tape is so painfully short! Look at those gleaming windows! 🤩
  8. The pit around the basement has been filled with stones and flooring is being built quickly.
  9. The basement walls are done. I see steel beams and cinder blocks getting ready to go.
  10. Quick shot of Summa Building from stop light. Sign says opening in Spring 2021. I don’t think that’s happening.
  11. Hasawai. Pouring the concrete basement walls.
  12. Call me old fashioned, but I’d prefer a design that isn’t based off a deodorant container! 😝
  13. Oof! Further evidence that the rectangle box design is sh*te! Wow, the forum censors out the word sh*te?!
  14. https://forum.urbanohio.com/topic/17064-cleveland-random-visualizations-massings/?do=findComment&comment=1000323&_rid=3501 This has changed my mind about putting the HQ on Weston lot. It looks great.
  15. Thanks, Pleco! The box shape is still hideous, but strangely, the location doesn’t look bad at all! There’s some real symmetry with the big 3. Particularly in that third photo! Holy crap, they might be on to something here. You have singlehandedly changed my mind. Judging from these angles the HQ should absolutely be on this lot!
  16. Ken, please forgive my ignorance on such matters, but how much weight or influence does the Planning Commission have? Could they, for instance, say, “No, we don’t want a four story museum on public square. We would prefer the 600 foot skyscraper there.” ? Or is it more just about the looks of the buildings?
  17. There are a plethora of adjectives we could throw at it but I think it’s still better than a flat topped BOK knockoff. But that’s just me.
  18. That IS kinda cool. Like a glowing Himalayan Salt Rock on top! And I agree, something like this, sans the tiara, would fit right in public square. Y’all got some good lookin’ buildings down there.
  19. That’s a handsome building. Except for that monstrosity on top of it.
  20. I would bet that’s why they originally wanted two 25 story towers as these probably wouldn’t require drilling and pouring concrete caissons down to bedrock to support the structure. Thus, saving a lot of $$$.
