What is the building at the top of the render, along Ontario? Is it existing or proposed? Could a small soccer village be built along Ontario, with residential and restaurants to provide a more neighborhood feel to the development?

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
I'm still hoping this to come true. Wasn't that lot reserved for another apartment tower, but the developer instead focused on the complex on Larchmere? Filling in that corner would really create a more dense, vibrant area.

Cleveland: Shaker Square: Development and News
As a resident of the Square for about 4 years now, I would say not much has changed, except a few new restaurants and the finished road resurfacing. Based on the article, I get the feeling that Edwins is leveraging for something other than improved security. Growing up in CH, the perception of the Square 20-30 years ago is the same as today. If security improvements are needed, working on improving and stabilizing the housing stock off Buckeye and South Moreland would be more beneficial to the community than more security cameras. This reinvestment of those surrounding neighborhoods were discussed at the recent community discussion, including more housing behind Dave's and CVS. Additionally I'm pretty sure it was discussed the 4th district would have a satellite office on or near the square. That said, the work that has been done so far on the storefronts should be commended. They took it back to the original details and the white makes it pop. I expect them to update the landscaping as well. It's worth a visit, especially after the new coffee shop opens and the Mexican brewery. I really see the square as on an upswing and will be a model neighborhood in the coming years.

A friend of a friend told me they heard it was really down to two cities, Cleveland and its 12 female investors, and a billionaire from Atlanta.

Cleveland: University Circle: Skyline on Stokes
I was pretty young at the time, but I swear the old Mt Sinai on 105 and Hough was teal. Or maybe it was blue. It was quite the beacon when driving down MLK towards the Cultural Gardens, a building I looked forward to seeing.

Cleveland Heights: Development and News
I noticed signs at the top of Edgehill stating saving Turkey Ridge, I'm assuming there are more proactive discussions on developing the wooded overlook over Little Italy. And as a lifelong Heights resident that grew up not far from there, this is the first time I've heard of any name for that place.

Can we get back on topic?

Cleveland / Northeast Ohio: "What If/Hypothetical/Dream" Construction and Projects Discussion
Or our transit needs to better connect to the places we are already going to. I would love it if a train would connect from Shaker Square to Glenville or Van Aken to Collinwood. Too much of where are are and are going is disconnected, forcing us to drive to places more than ride.

I don't know, Stokes West sounds like a name of a hospital. But Skyline on Stokes (SOS) just sounds silly.

Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
As an east sider, we've always referred to it as the Carnegie-Lorain bridge. Does the order of the street name indicate which side of town you're from?

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
I really like the building design, but I don't like that the butt end of the building will be facing some Cleveland's better planned park and the lagoon. When coming east/north down MLK from Euclid Ave., rather than being impressed by the development, you'll see a parking garage entrance and mechanical. Could they not widen the new Reserve Court by a lane and put these entrances there? Having retail front onto public spaces aling these parks would give impressions of 5th ave. fronting Central Park.

Looks like the Hessler Court (the wood road) is nearing completion. I have to say, they did a really great job on the project. Wood bricks are of the same size, double soldier border, stamped concrete crosswalks. 2/3 of it has been oil, based on the smell of it.

I saw today that the Rite Aid at 100th and Chester is closing. Any chance it's being replaced with a shiny new apartment building?

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
Two questions: 1. Does anyone actually read all the posts on this topic or simply quickly scan over them like I do? If you do read them all, how long does it take? 2. When this thing is all said, done, and built, will this topic have more or less pages than SHW?

So on game days, would parking at the airport increase to $80 too or can we assume Browns fans will park there instead to save money, thus leaving no parking for actual airport visitors.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
Exactly my feelings too. What I don't understand is how the funding would work. What is the tax/financial burden of Cuyahoga County residents? Are we footing the cost or someone else. I don't really care where the stadium is built, I just can't stomach the idea of giving billionaires money through tax increases.

Cleveland Heights: Development and News
I grew up around the corner from here and went to elementary school at Coventry back in the day. Tear it down. Put in new housing, maybe at tower or single family homes. Something to raise the value of the neighborhood and diversify the housing options. The building is way oversized for how it is being used and not that great of a design to begin (open floor plan, built right next to a ravine). There are plenty of other empty buildings in the city where these organizations can move to.

Cleveland: University Circle: Skyline on Stokes
Kudos to the developer for not cutting down the trees on Stokes. That is going to help the building blend better into the neighborhood.

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
This article says City Club has changed its name to Skyline 776, but on the City Vlub website there are no updates. Anyone know if there was a name change? https://www-cleveland19-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.cleveland19.com/2024/07/16/more-people-are-moving-downtown-cleveland-apartment-buildings-say-theyre-ready/?amp_gsa=1&_js_v=a9&outputType=amp&usqp=mq331AQGsAEggAID#amp_tf=From %1%24s&aoh=17212152079664&csi=0&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cleveland19.com%2F2024%2F07%2F16%2Fmore-people-are-moving-downtown-cleveland-apartment-buildings-say-theyre-ready%2F

If I'm reading the article correct, it's a different league entirely than the NWSL team and a new league set to launch in 2025.

Cleveland: East Side Neighborhood Development
This is big and impactful. While I've been dreaming of townhouses, apartments, and retail along Opportunity Corridor since it opened, this is a great investment by a local company working hard to stay here. Any chance some of the jobs guaranteed can be given to residents in the surrounding neighborhoods? Could be a catalyst for getting that area to turn the corner.

Shaker Heights: Development and News
My hope is that it will be a site for a new rec center, pool, and other amenities. Then Thornton park is developed for residential/commercial.

Cleveland: Central: Development and News
I can imagine about a half dozen awesome ways for this building to be repurposed. Would be awesome to have business incubators, that opened up to a shared indoor park area where the large overhead cranes are.
