  1. I wonder if any conversations took place between the developers and Dave's supermarket right across the street. Surely this can't be good for Dave's to have a new Meijer next door? However, it does seem to work in other locations where there are multiple style grocery stores nearby. I'm curious how the Dave's will do once the Meijer is open. *Edit: fixed for the correct grocery store name.
  2. County Land Bank owns it.. so from what I can gather the building was probably vacant and the owners were not paying taxes. Where was this group to help save the building from being acquired by the land bank? Maybe the protestors should be asking why the azteca club let the building become useless and behind on taxes, not why a developer is making the property useful again.
  3. Did the city provide these renderings? Wonder if there has been any discussions with the gas station and burger king. I think this is can really change the vibe of the neighborhood. Would like to see the Detroit / Lake intersection be a true 90 degree..can't tell by the renderings, and then make up the odd angle in a sweeping turn to meet current Lake alignment.
