  1. More pictures here from DroneOhio https://www.facebook.com/thedroneohio/posts/1221615912652166?ref=embed_post
  2. I'm glad that the panels are blue instead of purple like in the original renderings.
  3. This article from 2023 said that the digital marquee board was put on hold at the time. Maybe they are going to put it up for next season.
  4. Hopefully Key Tower survives from the fire-breathing monster in the trailer. 😂
  5. Nick Mayer Ford buys new Alpha Drive dealership site from Progressive for $3.35 million. They will demolish a 77,000-square-foot building on the property (625 Alpha Drive) to build a new 40,000-square-foot Ford dealership. https://www.crainscleveland.com/real-estate/nick-mayer-ford-mayfield-heights-buys-highland-heights-site-335-millioon
  6. Great pics. It's unfortunate to see that the city patched the damaged brick crosswalk with asphalt. 🤦‍♂️
  7. Picture taken from The Garden of Eden rooftop at The 9.
  8. Campus 1 will officially be listed for sale/lease in the coming weeks.
  9. The Hamilton Garage should also be torn down.
  10. The beige facade of the base and the silver trim around the windows date the look of the building when looking at it up close. From afar the building looks fabulous.
  11. The article on cleveland.com (https://www.cleveland.com/travel/2023/12/united-airlines-adding-nonstop-flights-between-cleveland-and-las-vegas-phoenix.html) says they are temporary. March 7th through May 20th. The flight times kind of suck. Flights from Cleveland land after midnight eastern time. Both of the return flights are red eyes.
  12. Why does The National Park Service have any say in what the sign looks like? The theatre is in an urban environment far away from any park that they control.
  13. The Hamilton Garage above RadAir is in similar shape. When I parked there two years ago many spots were unavailable because they had shoring posts in the middle of them. A google review that I just read says that there are now holes in the concrete allowing you to see the deck below. 😱
  14. Yes. I think both buildings would look better if the window trim was black instead of silver. The trim stands out a bit too much.
  15. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1438988613511204 Drone video from Lance Aerial Media They also have some photos on their Facebook page, like the one below.
  16. I'm a Progressive employee. Progressive opened a small strategy office downtown in 2019 to explore new business opportunities. There are currently about 80 employees in that office. I highly doubt that the HQ will ever be moved downtown for the reasons already mentioned and because it would be difficult to divide their two large campuses on the east side for multiple tenants. Progressive has been consolidating people into the two campuses to sell or cancel leases on the rest of their office space on the east side as more people work from home. Depending on the role, some employees can work from home full time.
  17. The Minneapolis building looks really nice and better than what they are building in Cleveland. It has a more classic design that will blend it better with the surroundings and age well. The blueish purple exterior and sloped roof on the Cleveland building won’t age as well. It’s too trendy. I’m still happy to see a parking lot go away.
  18. Does anyone know when they closed the Gateway Plaza to vehicular traffic? I tried to go to the Indians game last night, but it took two hours to get off the Innerbelt bridge and down Ontario St to the Ontario and Huron Rd intersection. All but the far left lane of Ontario St heading north was a parking lot. I had planned to enter the Gateway Garage from Ontario. The cops directing traffic just followed the traffic lights, so they were useless. By the time I got to the Huron Rd intersection it was already the 7th inning, so I went home. I only go to one or two games a year and I walk to the stadium since I work downtown. I drove this time because the office is closed due to the pandemic. Next time, I'll take the RTA red line.
  19. @KJPThe sentence "Once Ford's remaining buildings on the site (not including the still-active Engine Plant No. 2) " should reference plant one, not two. Plant one is closest to Brookpark Rd and is still actively used.
  20. I used to work at Rosetta, which occupied floors 11-15 and 17. Within the last year or so they downsized to floors 14, 15 and 17 due to multiple mergers. (Floor 16 is a mechanical floor.) Rosetta is now part of Publicis Sapient. I'm surprised to hear that all of the remaining floors that they occupy are available for lease. I'll try to find out from my former coworkers what is going on.
  21. Ten of the remaining 14 Guild members banned together and asked to be laid off. The remaining reporters are John Caniglia, Susan Glaser, Steven Litt, and Terry Pluto. https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/local/cleveland/plain-dealer-announces-ten-staff-members-volunteer-to-be-laid-off/95-298de67f-ca54-430f-871f-4febe3ca9668
