Northeast Ohio: Regionalism News & Discussion
How does one even start that conversation of starting to slowly merge services and eventually municipalities? From my view, I feel like common citizens can’t do much.

Companies Expanding Operations to NE Ohio
I don’t understand why the region can’t attract more businesses, especially the city.

Chicago: Developments and News
So, I have nothing new to add, but I did go to Chicago for the first time over the weekend. I absolutely loved it and I think it’s everything I wish Cleveland was.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
That is absolutely insane especially because RTA is ran terribly. Why is the RTA CEO even being paid that much?

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Decided to give Amtrak a shot for my Chicago trip. Pulled into the parking lot and there’s just glass on every empty parking space. Evidently several cars had their windows smashed recently. I’m fully expecting to come back with my car windows smashed in. Can’t wait.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
It’s a city, aren’t there supposed to be a ton of people that can help support both?

Cleveland: Mayor Justin Bibb
She also went on Twitter to defend herself against “hit pieces” by Crains. She may have just sucked at her job. Whenever you have to go out saying an article is a hit piece it doesn’t look great.

Cleveland: Population Trends
I honestly think there’s a stigma with Cleveland public schools. Are the ones your kids went to highly rated I’m assuming? I think that’s one of the things holding my wife and I back from moving into the city as we want our son (and son on the way) to get a good education.

Cleveland: Population Trends
I feel like we’ve been seeing this for a while now where Cleveland still loses population, but it’s not as much. What the heck is going to actually fix this? Continue to build?

Cleveland: Hough: Development and News
Does that have residents?

Akron-Canton: General Business & Economic News
I work for them, they’re looking to consolidate as much as they can. They also just sprung some layoffs and offering early retirement to people.

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
I like watching his videos because they’re ridiculous. My wife on the other hand…

Painesville / Lake County: Development and News
Honestly that might be the one that just closed down last year, it was great. Was born in 91, so it might have been a different one. Agreed though, Willowick seems like more of a suburb of Cleveland. I will have to venture farther east and take my son to check out these places. I just remember in high school Fairport Harbor had the best beach.

Painesville / Lake County: Development and News
Sorry, I didn’t realize you asked me what I’d like to see. Those are all great things, I guess I’m more focused on the west end of Lake County since I’m from here (grew up in Willowick and now live in Mentor unfortunately). There is so much what could have been especially for the cities on the Lake. The things happening Fairport Harbor are what I like to see.

Painesville / Lake County: Development and News
I’m surprised the Mentor mall has been able to adapt with stores closing down. They do have a d**k’s that I visit frequently.

Other States: Passenger Rail News
How much time is saved with the improved speed?
-
Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
I don’t know, I think if I were the city I’d rather have NASA and Blue Abyss than the IX Center.

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
They’re natives of the region.

Painesville / Lake County: Development and News
Fairport Harbor (and most Lake County cities on the lake) have so much wasted potential.
-
Akron-Canton: General Business & Economic News
If I am reading an internal FirstEnergy memo correctly, the company will be moving out of downtown Akron and consolidating into the West campus.

Amtrak & Federal: Passenger Rail News
Alright, first time Amtrak user tickets purchased for June. Let’s hope everything goes smoothly. I hear Union Station is a bit of a hassle to navigate?
