  1. ^I assume you mean design imagery, no, there hasn't yet.
  2. What a lovely little street scene.
  3. ^That article is from September. Old news.
  4. Weakest designed project in the City of late.

The 1995 Indians led the AL in ERA, and had a lights out bullpen.

The 1997 Indians only had 86 wins that year and were considered to have overachieved. This year we won 94 games and won the division, but as the injuries piled up it made it seem like they were playing above expectations. Also, totally agree on the City feeling upbeat despite the loss, and I'd say it's 99% due to the Cavs winning the championship in June, 1% the fact that the Indians overacheived. If the Cavs lost AND the Indians blew a 3-1 lead in the World Series the City would be devastated.
  7. This is a very big, complicated project that takes years to realize in a difficult market like Cleveland. If the financing closes next month, that would be a remarkably fast advancement for a project of this scale. Even if it closes early next year, that would still be a fast turnaround. Let's have a little context/perspective, people. Am incorrect in stating that this is the 3rd of 4th time we have expected financing to close "within the next month?" If I am way off on this, I apologize and admit I am wrong. But I have heard that the rubber is close to meeting the road several times, and with 515 Euclid's groundbreaking on the horizon, it just appears that Stark has bitten off quite a bit. 515 Euclid is far off too. Cleveland will not be seeing any new highrises downtown for a while. These are all just plans. It's nice to get excited about, but it's Cleveland, let's not hold our breath. Ease up there chief.
  8. Saw a blurb on block clubs presentations in the Inside Tremont monthly newspaper and it stated that developer Brian McCreary is proposing a 25 unit apartment building at the SW corner of W7th and Jefferson. Hadn't heard of this before. There is also another project of 10 town homes and commercial building proposed for the NE corner of W5th and Jefferson. Heating up on the east side of Tremont.
  9. That looks so strange for many reasons.
  10. Inn of the Barristers is still kicking.
  11. ^You're wrong motorist, they do fight against bad design and occasionally succeed. Clearly you aren't involved in the decision making process.
  12. "Mash up" is an appropriate description.
  13. Totally disagree with you. Good example of leaving it until a new use is found is the old Euclid Tavern sign. It was left intact for years and then rehabbed when it was reopened.
  14. Those plastic windows have been there for years. They will be rehabbed, not demoed.
  15. ^ive heard that as well.
  16. The developer of the Unique building also owns several parcels adjacent. Hopefully they're looking to do something worthwhile. Interestingly the LLC listed on the auditor's site is dead. These names are listed on the articles of organization if they look familiar. GERALD E ZAHLER RICHARD A KRETCH WARREN ZAHLER BRUCE KRETCH ET AL
  17. if it did, then it would seldom be used. Office use is stagnant in NE Ohio and store-based retail is dying. The only reason why residential is even in play is because of a big shift in demographics and a small shift in housing preferences. Downtown real estate is incredibly expensive considering the market and labor costs are very high. Permitting/approvals are also costly and time-consuming. Permitting and approvals are time consuming whether it's in Cleveland, Shaker, Beachwood or Hudson. In my experience Cleveland is often quickest.
  18. We should build 1,000 more between Downtown and the innerbelt, maybe mix in some street level retail too.
  19. Yeah, rock climbing is dead at Zion, but expect something else in the near future. Any idea how soon? I love climbing but being in Westlake means the drive out to Cleveland Rock Gym is a bit further than I would like. Sorry, I meant "something else" as in something else is happening with Zion.
  20. Yeah, rock climbing is dead at Zion, but expect something else in the near future.
  21. Pretty obvious. More growth in the city. Don't know why that's so hard to understand. Leadership in Cleveland is lacking for that growth to happen. I don't see any proof from you that development is happening at such a great clip in other rust belt cities.
  22. Great thought, tear down the thing that actually makes Madison interesting (the buildings) for parking. Maybe we should just tear down all the buildings and there will be plenty of parking for everyone.
  23. That penthouse structure is pretty strange.
  24. Great, another sun-bleached Euclid Avenue facade.
