  1. This City is such a joke in terms of tree maintenance.
  2. People now take pictures of events instead of actually witnessing or partaking in them, it's extremely annoying in my opinion. Example: at the Cavs parade instead of actually clapping or cheering as players went by they just took video or pictures.
  3. These numbers make no sense.
  4. From what I understand the condo building has either been put on hold or cancelled.
  5. That's an outdated mentality, there is a lot of residential redevelopment happening there.
  6. Drove by the former "BIG Q" appliance store just west of E55th on Woodland earlier this week and noticed they took off old plywood from the facade of the building revealing this wonderful layer of painted signage for the products sold at the store probably from pre-1940's. Pretty amazing. Unfortunately, the very next morning all this signage had been power washed from the facade. At least it was exposed for one day before literally going down the drain. It's the layers of history that make Cleveland neighborhoods so interesting and too often it's brushed aside without a second thought. Not sure what the outlook is for this building, but I'm not optimistic judging what has happened to this intersection for 60 years.
  7. I've heard from some folks I trust that things are progressing as they should with this. That is all...
  8. Ha! Yes, that what I meant...
  9. Selfless plug, see "PARK/TERMINAL PROJECT" from 2009... http://www.hortonharper.com/
  10. I almost fell asleep looking at the rendering for the project.
  11. Wish Fat Head would ditch North Olmsted for Downtown/Tremont/Ohio, not sure why they wouldn't do more business there.

St. Louis was urbanized in 1,000AD?
  13. Your opinion is spot on.
  14. This may be a first, but I totally agree with X. The goal of architecture should not be to create something "iconic." I'm so sick of all these buzz works being strewn around everywhere: epic, iconic, authentic, real, makers. I highly doubt the designers at NADDAAA give a tinkers damn whether the building is iconic or not. Says a lot about Bialosky if he thinks they do.
  15. The smokestack is an icon, hope it stays.
  16. When the Terminal Tower is converted it will end all discussion as to the tallest residential building in Ohio...
  17. Excited for this project, one day though somebody is going to get some color into this town.
  18. If so, I've never seen that done before. Free advertising for him.
  19. It's now not going to be open until the end of the week
  20. It may be more tourists, but it's definitely more locals bringing their kids downtown as well. I think Public Square is a real game changer for kids, families and the future of the City. Memories of being downtown as a kid can be very powerful, and at least in my case and many others I know personally, have lasting impacts on the way people live their lives as adults.
  21. Are the fountains on today?
  22. I completely agree with you KJP on this being the next area of residential growth.
  23. Looks possible to me.
  24. The article states that the city's population jumped by 1,000 last year. Did I miss something or is this incorrect?
