The stock imagery of people "cheers-ing" at a packed restaurant table always makes me laugh. Reminds me of the Cadillac Ranch decals above the storefront.
  2. Not to start the weekend on a negative, but other than 4 buildings, everything else in that photo is in a landfill somewhere.
  3. The scale down Barn is incredible, and it would be nice if it were somehow activated...

What's ever been wrong with "Progress & Prosperity?" I don't think this is played up enough as the City's motto...
  5. Let's get the giant neon rooftop signage back on the Keith Building and we've got something...
  6. What does declining population have to do with it? I'd say the destructive freeze/thaw process is to blame.
  7. This really is one of the worst things to come through this city, from a design standpoint, in a long time. Pelli continues to spray pink and gray, with standard green moat, all over Euclid Avenue. Imagine if his projects at the Clinic and CSU that his studio has produced were actually assets to the context they reside in...
  8. HGF still proposing a sub-par design though...
  9. Great, the guy that allows plywood infill in windows on The May Company now owns more property...
  10. Yikes. Bad early 90's look to it.
  11. What is the obsession with senior housing in that area?

I was recently given an in depth tour of the steel mills (won a silent auction at Cleveland Public Library last year), and I have to say, it was one of the most invigorating experiences of my life. In a world where the hype often does not live up in reality, that tour was as amazing as you'd expect. And imaging that the mills were once 5 times more extensive boggles the imagination of what it must have been like down there. Cool pic.
  15. That sign has been there for a while no? Maybe they just replaced the lights?
  16. Fleischman was the architect.
  17. With Baker Hostetler moving to Key and eating up some remaining Class A space, could that help inch us closer to a new Class A office building downtown?

That National City Bank lobby is one of the best in the city. A great space, light fixtures as well.
  19. This is one of Vocon's first dabbles into ground up design. Not a very interesting first act.
  20. Love the sign, about time some large scale signage came into this town. For the naysayers, not everything has to be reserved and conservative to be inserted into the cityscape. Cleveland needs more moments of expressive images like this.
  21. I think shade means cool and comfortable.

This isn't even in Cimperman's ward, why would he be of assistance?
