Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
McLovin, what's your beef with the red line trains? I think they're in fine shape and much more attractive than the blue and green line trains.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
It will definetely have a profile when heading into the city from the east Shoreway. Also, when viewed from Woodland/Woodhill area, the crane looks massive behind the Terminal tower and AT&T Building. Could be an interesting shot.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
It was designed to hold the weight of any human event that could be assembled on it. And that is A LOT of weight. As a point of reference, office building floor slabs have higher weight capacities than parking garages (of course the office includes holding furniture etc...).

Kent / Kent State University: Development and News
That's a good idea. The way it looks now is that it is more of a walkway only. Not really any other site features. Hey Yanni, what did you do, check it out after CollegeFest this weekend? Nah. You're too old for that now... Back in 2002 though...

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I went to Hodge's last week and I have to say I was very surprised how good the food was. Impressive and am looking forward ot going back when the patio is opened up. There are always going to be those on this board who overreact to minor details in the beginning stages of downtown's new businesses, times when these entrepenuers (sp) are trying to figure out their first serious business undertakings in a growing community of them. I for one am tired of it of the unfounded negativity here at times. These people should be lauded and cultivated, yet certain people here are looking to poo poo their efforts for some unknown reason, then it snowballs to others, then the establishment is perceived to have issues, then some here think it's time to start bringing in the moving vans and shut it down. I of course will not name names...

Those pictures of W25th again reveal the fact that even while buildings may be (temporarily) vacant, they hold the potentials of the future. Great articles by Crains.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
I for one am tired of beige, grey, and brown in this place. Build a 20 story tower and wrap in the Astros uniform. Looks a hell of a lot better than Volpe's beige on beige residential tower.

Yeah, let's move on. R&R has always had the ability to bring the venom out of a lot of people so we should end it right here...

Not surprisingly it's rockandroller with the first negative comments on Dredgers.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
Just a weird note, but I never realized that the odd numbered addresses are on the south side of the avenues on the west side, but the odd numbered addresses are on the NORTH side of the avenues on the east side.

Cleveland: Retail News
Not to be a wet blanket on the intriguing speculation Vulp, but I can confidently say that all of the above are not the direction the space adjacent to Dredgers is going. Don't think anything is lined up by MRN at the moment, but hopefully that last space can be filled soon.

Anyone see the building rendering in the batch of photos on cleveland.com? K&D consistently has some of the worst ones ever. Incredible... Great project however.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I saw the presentation that was given to OCI by this company, and it seems to be a BW-3 type sports bar/restaurant. I think it will solicit the crowd mentioned above.
