Cleveland: The Residences at 668 Euclid Avenue
K&D has a knack for concocting horrible names for their Downtown developments. Wait until you hear what the former Ameritrust Complex will be called...

Cleveland: Downtown: May Company Building
MTS, you are way off on this. That thing does, and WILL continue suck for the foreseeable future. There is no question about it.

Cleveland: Downtown: May Company Building
Not sure an Ohio license plate would make that thing any less offensive.

I've never seen that view of W25th south of Detroit. Nice little worker houses.

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
When this area is fuly built out, it will have one of the most pleasing urban scales in the city.

That's actually Marcel Breuer with his head on his cap in the photo of the Ameritrust Building under construction.

That would be an interesting facade study to put togerher. Very Giuseppe Terragni.

Cincinnati: Complete Streets, Road Diets, and Traffic Calming
Peabody, you live in Ohio City and say RTA is utterly unreliable? That is a false statement. There are at least 6 bus routes to chose from, making it a 5 minute wait at a maximum. My question about scooters has always been where can I park it at my home if I live in an apartment with no parking? Seems like it would be easy for some a-hole to just pick it up and throw it in the back of a truck. Anyways, this parking idea sounds like a good one.

It didn't dawn on me that the building on Prospect will have apartments on the upper levels. Am I correct in assuming this?

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
Ughhh. The light poles and garbage cans in Boston in the images above can be found in any crappy light post or recepticle supplier booklet. For the most part, they're generic and can be found all across the country. I'm not saying the ECP posts are great, but at least they aren't pulled straight out of a Sweet's catalogue. Not putting "historic" looking lightpoles on Euclid has nothing to do with ignoring our past, I think it has more to do with looking positively towards the future. Leave the traditional lightposts for Crocker Park.

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
I've commented on the plumness of the Euclid Corridor poles for over a year. It really is ridiculous and takes only a little care to actually get them correct.

Cleveland: Rockometer Proposal
Worst rendering ever, but not a bad program to have there as long as the parking isn't realistic.

Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
He also created a law or ordinance in the city which does not allow public to be barred from using green space. Basically banning "KEEP OFF THE GRASS." But, since this land is technically the Cleveland Clinic's land, it may not apply.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I've heard ideas of taxing lot owners the full value of the air rights above the lot. If the height limit is 200 feet, they could be taxed for let's say 20 floors. Not sure how realistic this sort of thing is, but I would love to see it.

I don't have a problem with transitional housing for women, it just seems that they could continue their mission on less valuable land.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I just rode by Exhibit Builders this morning and was wondering what the status was of those buildings. Good to hear that they will be staying. The alley next to EB is pretty sweet.

Cleveland: Prospect Place, Joshua Hall, & Mueller Lofts
I had a reservation on one of the units in the Joshua Hall building for a while before settling on the WHD. The guys who own this unit put over $100,000 in structural changes into it. They basically made a smallish 2 BR into a giant open monstrosity with a lot of architechtural charm but not so much usable space. They bumped the roof out and built an extra 1/2 storey on top to account for some of those wild room transitions and heights. Its basically 3 "floors" now. In any case, those guys are not looking for a girlfriend, I am afraid to say! The structural changes actually added 250 square feet to the unit, bringing it up to 1,450sf, and thankfully the $100,000 is a bit of an exaggeration. No usable space though? It's floors are completely open. Where did you end up in the Warehouse District?
