  1. ^While I was walking through the Halle Building alley, I could see up into the 4th or 5th floor and it looked like a model unit was painted and light fixtures were installed. I really like this building. Very simply detailed, no ornamentation. Looks good, although I liked it when the building was blackened with soot pre renovation.
  2. From the 19th floor of the Huntington:
  3. I've said this before, but I think the majority of the tall posts and the little ones are off kilter. Line up the center point of the poles with a building in the background and you'll see it. And yes I realize that the post tapers towards the top.
  4. ^Right. Why not put the office building, you know, in the actual project footprint?
  5. A restorative infection.
  6. ^Start cracking on the other 47 pages of this thread.

Living in the shadows of a steel mill what be pretty sweet, even though it would probably knock 15 years off your life span.

Power Center; egh, the worst word in the English language.

In my experiences, the panhandlers outside of 515 aren't very abrasive. I've been working very late in recent weeks and haven't had any problems with anything and I walk from E9th to the Terminal Tower to catch the Rapid.
  10. It's a mostly white population but is slowly moving towards more African Americans. A spanish movie house really wouldn't work there, but not a bad idea for Clark/W25th.
  11. ^No, the balcony will be reconfigured.

Not sure if I agree that the Statler is far from Public Square. Maybe a 7 minute walk at most.
  13. Have you thought of organizing a formal design/ideas competition? It would probably create some interesting results. I personally have a soft spot for E185th, I grew up on E214 north of Lakeshore and remember riding bikes all over the neighborhood. And Mickey's Dairy Treat just north of the LaSalle seriously has the best ice cream in the city hands down (lime fruit whip, sign me up).

It kills me that this neighbohood declined so much and was erradicated from the city. Along with East 55th and Euclid, I would have liked to have seen it survive the 70's and 80's demolision marathon and been revived in some manner. Those two places were gritty as hell and are something that can never be duplicated. Damn shame.
  15. The brick detailing is really amazing.
  16. *Basically every bridge that crosses the Cuyahoga could be part of a collage (Swing, Jack Knife, Bascule, Lift, High Level. *Ore boat plowing up the river. *Steel Mills
  17. Heaven and Earth on W25th. I can hear the neighborhood block groups complaining already. Not sure if I blame them though. That place has been trash for 10 years in the Flats.

I've heard that the Park Building has been granted the $10,000,000 construction loan from the bank. Things will get rolling now.
  20. It's also lit up at night.
  21. It's never a good situation when someone with the biggest mouth is so uninformed.
  22. ^Totally agree.
  23. God, that article couldn't be a bigger downer even though it talks about $1.5 BILLION DOLLARS OF DEVELOPMENT. I doubt anyone at the Plain Dealer even enjoys sex.
