Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Projects & News
My feelings are not hurt!!! I am still not liking this idea. I hope it works, but I have a feeling it is going to %&$^ everyones commute coming out of Westwood and Cheviot up. I personally believe the problem lies with the actual 74 - 75 interchange. I didn't like the idea of ODOT (I think) recommending removal of the Elsmore ramps, but traveling this everyday, I am convinced that might actually have been an idea worth staring at for awhile.

Cincinnati: Corryville: University Village
It did suck in the 90's. I spent alot of time there in the latter part of the decade out of high school. It is 100 times better today with the potential to only get better.

Many species making a comeback in Ohio
We saw a dead one on the side of the road 2 yrs ago on 71 towards L-ville but this side of the speedway. ( I would have never guessed that one of these things would ever dart into traffic.)

Over-the-Rhine: Central Parkway, Broadway Commons
^true true, I kinda hope they eventually do something other than JUST A PARK though. New residential that matches OTR's old stuff would be cool. (some descent examples throughout Mt Adams and City West) I still like a casino, but that is a pipe dream i know.

Western Hamilton County growth issues
Yea, (good catch) I thought about behind Bob Evans too yesterday when I was going through that area. Topo not the most desireable but is nothing like Harrison.
-
Western Hamilton County growth issues
Yea, well Harrison Ave is by no means a model of smart planning. Sprawl is king here! No matter how steep the hillsides are.

Western Hamilton County growth issues
Very possible, that site has been on hold for years now. Originally I thought it was to be more condos.

Western Hamilton County growth issues
Harrison/ Rybolt exit, yes. They are both the same exit. I am still confused where it will go. Google map it, and see for yourself. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=39.195911,-84.658327&spn=0.015366,0.032229&t=h&z=15&om=0 There is a little land behind the Meier and Kohl's buildings.

Ohio's forests
It is great news, but it doesn't really expand on the rebound of the wildlife over the last century. I hear stories from people saying how there were very few to no deer anywhere in the state as recently as the 60's an early 70's. Now we have too many, which can cause disease and wipe out entire herds. Eagles, bobcats, pheasant, coyotes and many other animals have come back from some pretty devastating effects from the early 20th century.
