Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Well at least WLWT NBC covered the story...I was watching WCPO ABC last evening at 5pm until about 6pm and there was NO mention of the project! They did however manage to work in the breaking news of Britney Spears' 16 year old sister being pregnant. Thanks you tools. A day late, but it's on today for WCPO.

NKY is not a part of this at the moment. To connect UC to downtown, you have to go through OTR.

^I got nothing. Seems to me a law firm would be a good possibility, but do you think that would be considered a MAJOR TENENT??? How much space would one of these firms need and do we even have any that are large enough to fill that beast?

I know those were taken Sept. 8th. The fireworks from the Reds game went off two times that I saw. One was during the ceremony.

Cincinnati's Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP)
It worked this last year in dropping crime in P-Hill and Avondale. Not sure about Northside though????? The article only mentions the Blight Index.

Homicide totals
Correct me if I am wrong, but the downturn in the economy HAS to have an overall effect on this with foreclosures being so widespread and indiscriminate about neighborhood boundaries. As for ALL the burbs go, this could only be the beginning.

^Good point!

I don't know where to find that data either, but the media has sure covered a more than usual crime year in the norther burbs. While P-Hill and Westwood have been in the news this year, I don't feel they have been in the news as much as previous years. This would all be opinions from someone who watches and reads news quite often. The media could also be tired of covering the same old neighborhoods on the west side so they have been shifting there focus north. ????????????? Hopefully someone may have something to shed some light.

Cincinnati: 2007 "Light Up Cincinnati" Photos of Skyline & Stadiums Illuminated
I think the shots with the fireworks were taken on Sep 8th. I only know this because my sister got married at Devou Park that night. They had both stadiums lit since the reds were playing a home game and the bengals were opening the season mon. night against the Ravens. It rained for the first time in months earlier that evening which explains the clouds. When I get home I am going to get a hold of my sis and ask her to check the pics ous for the clouds, but I know they had everything lit up that evening too!

I keep hearing rumors about Bass Pro moving to Union Center, but I have a feeling that is just wishful thinking. I severely doubt that! That would be the worse move they could make. I could see it going to SW Indiana, NKY or even the Westside (Redneck Central) rather than moving farther into Suburbia Hell than they already are. Just my opinion, but check out some of the licence plates next time you are in this area. I guarantee they know where there customers are coming from, plus throw in the factor that Cabela's has been rumored to be interested in this region as well makes there current location pretty centralized. It's a Destination store, so they could survive just like some have mentioned, being the only thing there.

I'm sure you mean the Delta Queen? Oh sure, absolutely! If it is in town, but the Belle is really the closest thing we have to an iconic riverboat. (Even with it's fake features) it looks pretty cool with skyline shot behind it. (Obviously not in this pic.)
