Is Over-the-Rhine As Bad As They Say?
^I would have to agree if this were not to be related to rehabbing. It wouldn't surprise me to hear the media jumped the gun and got there facts wrong on this one AGAIN!

Is Over-the-Rhine As Bad As They Say?
Says they got $140 from em. That's a million when you throw in the crackhead exchange rate! Why you would have anything more than $5 is beyond me.

What other scenarios might you be pondering? Not to judge this before the entire truth is exposed, but I have been thinking of several all day myself. The pic on WCPO.com showed a kid being loaded into the ambulance. http://www.wcpo.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=c6ac82dc-3c4d-4901-9af4-278f5b03c47f

Same questions that ran through my dome as well. ?? There are a lot of kids around that age interested in OTR for rehab opportunities. I will give it that much!

Is Over-the-Rhine As Bad As They Say?
Last week when we were touring the proposed streetcar route, a crackhead on a bike tried yelling something at us at that same intersection.(Vine and McMicken) needless to say we didn't stop to find out what he wanted. Luckily we caught all green lights through Liberty. The dumbass chased us for about two blocks. Sadly, McMicken is still pretty shady. Don't think I will be checking out anything in those blocks anytime soon. As much as I hate to admit it, this little incident may prove to be a little bit of a setback for the area around McMick. (That is the Brewery District area, Correct??????)

^I would think they are under the proposed street level. Not to be negative, but we should hold all applause until they begin slinging DIRT. Most of us know the track history here, even though this is the most POSITIVE NEWS to come along in a while.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
If it does encourage the flurry of investments then maybe 3CDC could step aside eventually and let the market of private investors take over the remodeling and expenses of the buildings. (Not to say 3CDC hasn't done a good job, but ultimately they SHOULD be able to move on to other areas surrounding OTR.)

Cincinnati: Price Hill, decline and comeback
The most amazing thing to me about P-Hill, is the shear density of the neighborhood. I bet it was a sight to see when it was in its prime. Just gazing at it on Google Earth make my head spin. IMO, city politicians over the past two decades are just as much to blame as the bloodsucking bankers and lawyers. The old mentality of local govt when many of the projects came down was, " Send em to the other side of the Queensgate tracks." By doing so pushed even more hard working descent people past city limits farther into Western Hamilton Cty and (for gods sake) Indiana. Most of the elderly was left to defend for themselves. They single handedly destroyed one of the most unique neighborhoods in the city. Who's to say P-Hill couldn't have been instrumental in helping to suppress that MASSIVE POPULATION LOSS that the city is all to familiar with, HAD THINGS BEEN APPROCHED DIFFERENTLY IN THE LATE 80'S AND 90'S.

"said the project is running at better than 90 percent occupancy " That is an eye opener to me, if that is true. Cool!

When should urban growth stop?
I think it would have to work!

When should urban growth stop?
NICE! All cities (STATES) SHOULD have some sort of SubUrban Boundry where the building would stop going out. The funniest thing about it is the fact they live in a DESERT. "Uh, where did all the water"

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Just got over! Awesome feedback from Bill, he contiued to talk up the city after John left. He promises to not be as negative about the city anymore. He wants to be more positive about the stories he reports. Outstanding job AGAIN John!

God Bless! Willie's for it! Big John does a hell of a job getting the point across and sticking to the subject.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
"Officials in Cincinnati, a city that's been in decline for decades (maybe a century)," Not a god damn century! Why do people even talk when they have no idea what the hell they are even talking about? Dude needs to start out by getting a calender. He has no sense of TIME.
