E-Check
I had thought Ohio did away with this years ago. At least it did in the Cincy area. What a hoax of a program!

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I think it's hilarious that the BP Station out the window is his background for that blip and the view he gets to stare at everyday with a half finished multi story building across the interstate. How Sad!! WLW = FAIL

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I have to agree with some that the materials and the overall exterior design is very weak, but one concern I REALLY have is after being in the garages after that storm passed last night. Their were numerous waterfalls of sorts leaking from in between what looked to be expansion joints. Could this be because of the giant concrete pads on top where buildings have yet to be built?

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
So an opportunity presented itself to me after the reds/yanks game last night. All I was armed with was an iphone and the stormy night air. Enjoy the view! Doesn't that look so much better? How's this for a living room view? Now out on the balcony looking south I look to the east And I step around the corner of the balcony to the north Then the rain comes Good night from Freedom Way I will return with daylight and a better camera

Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
You're new here to UrbanOhio, but you're preaching to the choir in many of your posts ;) I was in Cleveland a couple weeks back for the Reds/Indians game. The entire group I was with kept talking about how great a link between these two cities would be. I obviously agree, but was surprised it wasn't me bringing it up in conversation. Shame on Kasich forever on that one! We will get it eventually, but it sure would've been nice to see the benefits of it over the next four years. Especially with the amount of development and energy going on in the cores of these gorgeous city centers. This was a game changer for Ohio in the minds of many! Keep fighting for it!

CLEVELAND - Making an observation
Great shots! I stayed in town last night after the indians reds game. It was my first trip to C-land and I am definitely coming back to stay longer soon. We didn't have much time to play but we at least made it to Great Lakes brewery after the game. Made for a kick ass night. We watched what looks like that particular rather large tanker maneuvering through the cuyahoga as we walked across the Carnegie Ave bridge. Did you take these yesterday Mayday?

Cincinnati: Waldvogel Viaduct
Nice to see public safety taking a back seat to out of town republicans personal interests. The more things change. the more they stay the same. Lawmaker: No deal, no new viaduct http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20110504/NEWS0108/105050311/

Cincinnati: Western Hills: Development and News
Trace the old C&O line on google maps from Glenway Crossing to Bridgetown. Sure their are a few buildings in the way but nothing noteworthy. For the most part 70% - 80% of the line is still vacant, it just has 30 years of tree growth or pavement on it. This line could still very much support light rail in the near future. Just look at how many houses it could serve from within a half mile of the old line. They are very dense and walkable neighborhoods by suburban standards. I agree with Randy about trading some big box stores and empty parking lots for some dense transit oriented development.
