He hopes to reflect the downtown environment of Indianapolis, which has vibrant retail tenants.
  11. I LOVE the idea, but I picture the viaduct as being too far gone. I would think the funding would be hard to drum up for a project of that size too. The rebar on some of the columns has/had been exposed for years. I haven't been on it recently but from what I remember, the patchwork was even getting bad.
  12. You got it! They now have a "UDF coming soon" sign up.
  13. 2009 proved busy year in Western Hills By Kurt Backscheider • [email protected] • December 31, 2009 http://communitypress.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/C2/20091231/NEWS/912310326/ Shopping plaza renovated Good Sam breaks ground Mercy gets approval Township turns 200 Re-inventing Cheviot's business district Contributed By Caroline Statkus | City of Cheviot | ShareThis http://rodeo.cincinnati.com/getlocal/gpstory.aspx?id=100111&sid=160125 The City of Cheviot is generating their own “economic development stimulus program” with a kick-off meeting for commercial building property owners, business tenants, and the general public on Monday, January 11 at 6:00 p.m. at Harvest Home Park. “We're committed to doing everything we can to support our local businesses,” says Cheviot Mayor Sam Keller. And, he adds, “We're looking at some really innovative programs to attract new businesses.” Those ideas will be expanded upon over the next few months by the recently appointed “Cheviot ROCKS Committee” (Revitalization of Cheviot Knows Success) as they develop a Strategic Business District Plan.
  14. NAACP: Hospital closings hurt poor By Cliff Peale • [email protected] • January 4, 2010 http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20100104/NEWS01/1050333/
  15. I agree I would've liked to have seen the starters sit too. The field was too slick to take the chance for a meaningless game. They already knew they didn't want to face Houston again.
  16. I say they were honoring the Bearcats! 2 weeks to plan for one team is a coaches dream. Why would we show them ANY plays that we plan on running in a game that matters? Agree, though that the Jets showed up to really play. I would love to believe the D was laying down too, but that didn't look that way. Injuries may be the death of us this week.
  17. ^Haha, Nice! ..............I concur!
  18. Ouch! It was still a great year for UC football, but for the love.................... That was painful to watch!! What do you think the odds are that BK tries to convert Collaros to be an Irishman within the next few weeks?
  19. Huh! The Bearcat won Mascot of the year! Let's see if Mardy and the boys can seal the deal tonight!

Gotta hunch this credit bust thingy that is still unfolding before our eyes might end up being as big if not bigger than 911! The two incidents will go down in history as mega events for the decade though.

    Ahhh, Dixie!!!
  22. ^Agree. For as short as the twin towers are, they are still very recognizable and well known around the world.

    Ho Ho Ho!!
  25. ^Their is not a doubt in my mind that HOT/HOV lanes and/or tolling roads are all on Ohio's horizon. In the next few years, they will have no choice. With more efficient cars and less people driving, the state will be forced to consider this as an option for paying for the many miles of road that we have. Unless that is, they raise the gas tax! *gasp*
