Cincinnati: GE Aerospace
Not the assembly plant! They will vacate the office buildings in a complex in Springdale off Princeton Pike. http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&FORM=LMLTCP&cp=39.279731~-84.472139&style=h&lvl=17&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=7969046&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1 Essentially, they will be leaving one suburban, ashalt dominated complex for another. Honestly, I expected nothing less. Heaven forbid, they transition into the 21st century with a modern building in an urban setting. (I am still bitter, because this would have been perfect for Lower Price Hill (Metro West http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,6201.0.html) and could have really taken the streetcar and high tech jobs debate to a new level with Engineering jobs for that area. I am refraining from criticizing any Ham Cty. or city officials right now out of respect, but this could have been big had officials been more involved and concerned. It seems they almost handed this over to Butler Cty.) The Evendale plant is pretty safe!!! I know a few people who work for GE (Evendale) and they all say that some of the stuff buried on that site is enough to force GE to stay there forever and keep their PR on the up and up. There has been alot of nasty stuff done there over the years.
