    JC!!!!
  2. Those are some mind blowing numbers!
  3. They have blocked the three ramps completely off now. If you want to make a right hand turn, you have to go to the center of the intersection. 20 minutes ago I just watched a Metro swing it wide and try and make the right hand turn, while some old woman wasn't watching. Her Hyundai's front end paid the price. This will be a cluster&^%* for sometime.
  4. ^I kinda do too! It's different. I wouldn't want it for Cincy or C-land's skyline though. They should incorporate a rollor coaster on it Vegas style like New York, New York.
  5. OMG, that is such a sweet shot. Picture the Banks done with QCS finished as well. I would love to see another 30-40 story on the western side of the skyline eventually.
  6. As Banks Plans Take Shape, Think Disney World http://www.wlwt.com/news/16924801/detail.html?rss=cin&psp=news
  7. Awesome! I hate all this red tape though. Seems they could be doing something that doesn't require a study.
  8. ^They are pretty amusing!!!
  9. ^Yup, I remember that. I was 4 or 5, but I recall them sticking around for a while after the bridge came down. They are beginning to work on that intersection and I am trying to keep up on the progress, but I believe they will be tearing up the old footers from that bridge SOON once they start ripping out the islands. They have (had) to be massive to support the weight of that bridge plus the trains. They will probably jackhammer the crap during the night to keep traffic flowing during the day. Can't wait, I can definitely hear the work from my house and it makes for long nights if I don't have the AC on.

    ^Well put!
  11. ^True!
  12. I agree, it was a great place a couple years back. My girl lives there too which is why I will poke fun! I'm always up there and have seen it tranform, so don't ever take offence to anything I say about the area. I don't like the changes, but it's keeping me a job at this point because I have been working on some of that Upscaleness they are building there. 1.) Home Depot Rapid deployment Center 2.) Vandercar 3.) Monroe Logistics Center "BLDG A"
  13. ^Hustler Hollywood and several rehabilitation centers. I think ODOT has some offices just east of the pen too. Monroe needs to look into getting a fireworks store. It would be perfect!
  14. ^You could then stop by Solid Rock Church for some prayer and dancing and then off to the Lebanon Penitentiary to visit your Mama!! What a day of "Upscaleness"!!! I contemplating moving there.................NOT!
  15. I hate parking garages!

Yup, I just hope we don't screw around on this rail and wait too long. I know it takes time (red tape), but until I see construction near and on the lines, I won't believe it. I think the next five to ten years may be a period for America to just come to the realization of we have to "Live Within Our Means" across the board and INVEST IN MASS TRANSIT. The mentality of the past 50 years will slowly die off due to the decline of credit lending and the fast growing 3rd world countries emerging! Theirs an uncertain future ahead of us right now.

-Downtown is nothing compared to what it was in the 80's. I get this sometimes too and to each is their own I guess, but these comments baffle me! Now I was born in '80, yet my parents took me downtown quite often. I personally believe the entire basin (CBD, OTR, and NKY) are all better off today than they were in the 70,80, or 90's. I am viewing this from an Economic Development and crime standpoint. Plus the population was declining in all three decades. (4 counting the 60's). Dunno!! My honest opinion is things are better now than at any point in the last 40 years. The potential for the area to TAKE OFF has been building for years (I say 2001) but we are only 2 -3 short years before the MASSES recognize this.
  20. Not a chance!
  21. ^Doh, I looked right at it too!! My bad.
  22. GREAT ARTICLE! And video on link. All Eyes on Amtrak Soaring gas prices and higher airfares are causing Americans to take a closer look at their rail system. http://www.newsweek.com/id/145869
