Cincinnati - Questions about neighborhoods
I will recommend Cheviot, (I'm biased though) which 110K can get you alot of house for the money. The downside would be the wakability part. Cheviot, itself is extremely walkable, but doesn't have the amenities as Newport. Most amenities are close, within a mile or so depending what your looking for and which direction you go. (Grocery, pharmacy, schools, etc.) The housing stock is in good shape with plenty of fixer uppers spread throughout the city. The "tight knitness" of this city is something all in it's own. CNN's #18 most affordable http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2007/moneymag/0707/gallery.BPTL_most_affordable.moneymag/18.html http://www.cheviot.org/ City Data http://www.city-data.com/city/Cheviot-Ohio.html

Toledo: General Business & Economic News
I couldn't agree more! This is a Great Thread Idea. Ohio city's are trying to align themselves to compete in the 21st century with the rest of the world for that matter and I feel we are getting VERY little help from C-bus (Government). The biggest benefactor that EVERYONE in the statehouse SHOULD recognize quickly is the fact that we NEED to invest heavily in transit within the state. This has hindered new growth and reinvestment within ALL of our cores, even at the steps of the statehouse. They need to get on this NOW and not in 5 years. We need to beat other states (and countries for that matter) to the punch here and start building 21st Century Cities and quit with these Suburban Cluster$%^&s.

Cincinnati: Downtown: 84.51°
I'm not a huge theater goer, so please correct me if I may be way off. One thing that concerns me about this proposal is that I am under the impression this could take events/shows away from Aronoff and Music hall. Both are true Cincy treasures that need to be preserved and I am getting the feeling that this is being done just to fill the space. I remember reading Playhouse wanted to move downtown or the Banks, which originally I was OK with. I just fear we would be abandoning Music Hall more so than Aronoff since they can still pack a house. Is this the same thing? If so, Do they actually NEED 4 theaters?

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Artistry
^Very true. I know I will never consider a 400k+ condo, but 1-150k would be worth considering.

Some friends and I are coming north that weekend, but we haven't decided where. I want to hit C-land up something fierce. Never Been! But the damn girls are giving me static about going to Cedar Point and Put in Bay. I am going to see if I can get something hammered out this weekend though.
