^^Is that SanMarGale still going ahead full steam? I am still having a hard time believing that they will would start (much less finish) such an aggressive project in today's market which, ah heem, WILL NOT BE BACK BY '09 Mr Bill Hines and Dan Griffin, .... with all due respect. I'd watch my a$$ on that one.

Moerlein reviving Cincinnati beer Queen City used to be the center of the German beer-making legacy in the U.S. BY JOHN ECKBERG | [email protected] http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20080509/BIZ01/305090016/ If Greg Hardman has his way, Cincinnati will again be the beer center of the nation. “If I have anything to do with it, yes,” crowed Hardman, president and chief executive of the Christian Moerlein Co. and father to a small but growing family of beers. Hardman bought the 1853 Cincinnati beer label four years ago and has been steadily growing sales in the region.

Cincinnati: State of Downtown
What recession? DCI reports on downtown Cincinnati progress Downtown Cincinnati Inc. had good news for attendees at its annual meeting Thursday - more tenants, more restaurants and more activity in the central business district. Kathryn Merchant, president and CEO of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, was the keynote speaker for the event. Some of the highlights from DCI's "State of Downtown" report: Completed construction and renovations downtown totaled more than $110 million, with $243 million in ongoing projects. Twenty-six retail/restaurant/entertainment venues moved into downtown during the year, sending available retail space to a five-year low. More than 100 new and renovated housing units came on line, bringing the resident population of downtown and its surrounding areas to more than 8,000. Occupancy rates for apartments topped 94 percent. Economic impact of total room rates booked by the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau rose by 8 percent over the year. According to the 2007 Downtown Survey conducted by DCI, 74 percent of respondents said they felt safe downtown, while 80 percent rated downtown as clean. The average price for monthly parking remained under $70. Read full article here: http://cincinnati.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/stories/2008/05/05/daily37.html

Cincinnati: Mayor Mark Mallory
I in noway disagree with you guys, but something like a program Mallory has spoke of will do wonders in EDUCATING our local society. Most of us on here that understand the whole Urban scheme are a rare breed right now. This will hit them right in the face via commercials, ads, billboards, etc. This is no better time to launch this sort of campaign! Especially with all the HIGH PROFILE and very visible projects set/already started this year and next. Perceptions will change!!

Cincinnati: Mayor Mark Mallory
The whole Cincy USA campaign is working great, so why not launch a campaign geared toward people within the region. There are quite a few people like that lady who haven't stepped foot downtown in years if not decades. Many around this town are still oblivious to the projects that we talk about everyday on this site. The high profile ones too!!

Mayor: Suburbanites wary of city BY KEITH T. REED | [email protected] http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20080508/BIZ01/305080065/ Downtown Cincinnati’s resurgence brought more than 100 new residential units and 26 new restaurants and shops to the neighborhood last year. But Mayor Mark Mallory said that’s apparently not enough to convince some suburbanites that the urban core is safe.
