  1. Outstanding, thanks for the info and Welcome! I know I will be checking it out for my first time in the coming week. Please keep us posted!
  2. ^That's pretty cool!
  3. Very true. Many people in this state are oblivious and don't want to recognize that there pretty little cul-de-sac home is contributing to the decline of the cities 35 miles away. "It will never reach as far as my neighborhood." they say. Ohio largest regions are not bulletproof by no means.
  4. They will probably happen since the piers and columns of the new Fort Washington Way are designed for the caps, BUT I doubt you will hear much about completing that portion until the Banks is nearing completion.
  5. They debated back at the beginning of this post as to what year that first picture is. I have read some saying as early as 1930's. Isn't that not I-75 they are making a path for just east of Crosley? I would guess late 50's but I don't know for sure what year they started cutting the city up for 75 construction. I know the second photo of Crosley is in color and thier are less buildings and more surface lots but I think both were taken in a 5 year period with different camera technology. Not for sure though, My grandfather said he moved out of the West End in the 50's so I am assuming most of the Queensgate area was still in tact going into the 60's...... ???????????????? Is the big white building south of Crosley, the Post Office? If it is, we could find out what year that was built.

  7. That 2nd one rocks!
  8. What should be expected from the investment in the Cincinnati Streetcar System? INFILL - Pure and simple! IMO, This will give the city leverage to compete with suburbs. It would be a catalyst in which nobody or no study can 100% know the True effects. Each development like this, has different outcomes in every city, BUT most have similar enough results in turning areas (blighted in OTR's case) into something better. I don't think this can hurt and I DO believe it is worth the investment. If successful, it could start spreading to inner suburbs by demands from that neighborhood's residents. I believe this is a crucial turning point for the city. It's make or break time. Do we want a 21st Century city or not?
  9. ^Dunno????????
  10. That is a surprising # to me.
  11. Lol. And on a school night too!
  12. ^Yea opinions are like a$$holes, but this is not the thread for it. So why wouldn't you be for any type of "Transportation Reform", if you will? Any project like this would be required to conform to ADA standards. And, I don't know if I understand your "Lack" of handicap access comments around town. Metro has ADA buses.
  13. Negative on CBD, I am still on the Westside. No, just curious as to why you would ask that question above all the other hurdles? I'm not being critical here, just wondering.
  14. No, not OTR. Can't say that I was, although it sounded like they all had a memerable night. Don't Hate though!!! You can't blame them for trying to have a little fun!
  15. "When actually no one that lives outside of OTR thinks this is a good idea." What part of town are you from? Will disabled get vouchers to ride? Why would this matter to you?
  16. ^Dude, your crazy!!! I think 8 houses on my street own quads. And I am in a suburb.
  17. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/home/home.jsp?cm_re=store*topnav*CabelasLogo I am kind of wondering why Bass Pro Hierarchy would not consider a move toward either NKY or the Indy line. And why hasn't Mallory or any other Cincy politician approached these guys (Bass Pro or Cabellas) with maybe relocating somewhere within the city borders? (Norwood, Western Hills, or even a downtown locale [broadway Commons/etc. would be a big draw.) Nothing against it, but West Chester is not what I would consider that type of customer base (suburbs). Plus, I am curious as to when the population of West Chester is going to say enough is enough with all of this extra, non resident traffic that they in turn HAVE TO PUT UP WITH. Wouldn't the extra traffic start affecting the quality of life (plus property values) for the average Liberty Twp/West Chester Twp residents? I will admit that Ikea was a boon for the area, but I am curious if there are any area residents on this board and what their thoughts would be? This may be a silly question and I think I know the answer but are their any resistance organizations in that area promoting "Smart Growth" or at least questioning these developers plans?
  18. Rumor is Cabellas does want into this market!!
  19. Norwood Demo. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?Dato=20080322&Kategori=VIDEO&Lopenr=80322001&Ref=AR
  20. Pardon my ignorance Randy, but what is TOD development?
  21. ^I think so too! These trustees have completely lost my faith over the past year. 1. They have let developers make a mess of Harrison/ Rybolt area. 2. Legacy Place issue which I voted FOR, but am rethinking what I 1st considered good economic dev. (I have a feeling these a$$holes will let them build something sh!tty like Meier/Kohls/LAExpress/White Castle/Wendy's/etc.) 3. Now they are taking one of my favorite westside bars, and for What???? I speaking on rage right now, so maybe later I'll be cool!
  22. Last call at the Wagon Wheel Cafe BY CLIFF RADEL | [email protected] http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20080320/NEWS01/303200095/ GREEN TWP. – The Wheel is heading for the last roundup. After 149 years of satisfying thirsty customers, the Wagon Wheel Café – as the buzzing neon sign proclaims while swinging in breezes stirred by passing cars – is letting its taps go dry. “Closing Forever. Last call March 29,” declares the venerable establishment’s marquee. Click on link for article.
