Cincinnati: Full text of State of the City 2/4/08
I think he is smart to push for the streetcar from DT to UPTOWN. I know most of us are for it anyways ,but to really sell this to people across the board, (who have no idea of the economic benefits) the city needs to use Uptown in the same sentence. OTR will see the most positive economic result, but when talking to some of the carpetbaggers in this town, it's best to keep it simple and include connecting two of the most viable neighborhoods in the region. ( I am not dogging OTR at all by saying this, I just think it is an easier sell to most people when you include DT and Uptown.) You won't get the same old " Why OTR? Why Mickmicken? What's the point? Nobody will ride them here." We all know the potential of connecting the Universities, hospitals, and businesses with DT. The icing on the cake will be the transformation that happens in between with OTR. VERY EXCITING REPORT ALL IN ALL THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Western Hamilton County growth issues
Well, this clears that up. 3 buildings - 120,000 sq.ft. total!!! behind Bob Evans on North Bend. Plan in works for medical complex BY KURT BACKSCHEIDER | [email protected] GREEN TWP. - A new medical office complex could open shop at Interstate 74 and North Bend Road. Ken Schuermann, president of Schuermann Properties, said his company is working on a proposal to build a cluster of medical offices at the Monfort Heights interchange. "We're just starting the process," he said. "The preliminary plan is for three medical office buildings." He said he's preparing to appear before the Green Township Board of Trustees and the Hamilton County zoning commission to request the zoning of the proposed site be changed from residential to office. The 12-acre site he has under contract sits behind the Bob Evans restaurant on North Bend Road.

Mason, Ohio
"I like the look of downtown Mason and can't wait to see how it develops over the next several years. Having so many million dollar homes within 1-2 miles of the Mason downtown core can only help." My friend! Throw a couple SUV's out front to put on a dog & pony show and SHABAM! I present to you, just one of the many forclosure listings for Mason, Ohio. It doesn't matter how many million dollar houses are around it. Look at some of the square footage on some of these homes on the other pages and tell me how these are not overkill. ECCESS is an understatement!!!! http://realestate.yahoo.com/Ohio/Mason/Homes_for_sale/result.html?cc=realestate&p=Mason,%20OH&priceHigh=&priceLow=&nodeId=750007014&sortBy=price%202&radius=&bedrooms=&bathrooms=&type=foreclosure&b=21 Don't get me wrong, the pics of the original town are cool, but for the rest of Deerfield, Well

Cincinnati: Downtown - The McAlpin
Yeah, but no one is going to drive Downtown to go to a damn TGIF. If they want to go, they'll go to the one in Kenwood or Hyde Park. I can't imagine the conversation: "So, where do you want to go tonight, honey?" "How about TGI Friday's?" "Great, it's right down the street!" "Hey, why don't we drive the extra 15 minutes to the one Downtown?!" If there's one Downtown, it'll be catering to the lunch crowd, end of story. Plus, TGI Friday's?! Yuck! I live less than a mile from one but spent more time at the Cov. location before it went away. Besides, attracting these type of establishments should be about the people living DT, not Kenwood or the Westside residents.
