The amount of investment that has taken place in downtown Newark has been remarkable to witness.- Newark: Developments and News

OhioFinest replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & Construction“”””Downtown Newark is thriving,” Trautman said. “We see the transformation that is taking place, and we are committed to doing our part as a good neighbor and partner. As a member of the downtown community for more than 100 years, we consider it a privilege to help build a strong future for all residents while remembering and respecting our past.””” “”””We believe retaining the property allows more flexibility for future growth and enhancements,” Hamilton said. “Park has grown significantly over many decades and continues to grow, bringing jobs and investment to Newark. In the meantime, adding greenspace demonstrates our commitment to a beautiful downtown.”””” These two specific parts from the article are what make me think…something has to be planned for this property!!! Seems like there is some foreshadowing going on with these comments. Right? I’ve always heard rumors that Park wanted to build another tower across from their N 3rd Tower. Something just seems too secretive about this.- Newark: Developments and News

OhioFinest replied to ColDayMan's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionWhat are the plans for the Coliseum? The OHSAA Commissioner Doug Ute has said that they plan on returning the Central District basketball tournament to The Barn by next season. The only problem with that is the condition of the facility is in no shape to host it. It needs MAJOR work...i know there are planned renovations of the Coliseum, so are there plans or renderings released yet?- Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
700 mill....and its still open air...not just no...but HELL NO!!! This is why he is moving the team to Brook Park. This is about building a dome...plain and simple.- Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
At this point, i am fully expecting to read an article about the Browns relocating outside of Ohio completely...again!! What a cluster this is turning into...- Newark: Developments and News
OhioFinest replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & Constructionhttps://www.newarkadvocate.com/story/news/local/granville/2024/04/21/granville-schools-enrollment-not-growing-as-fast-as-once-feared/73331497007/ Ahhhh yes…and this is directly because of Granville’s stalling efforts regarding Newark and Heath’s growth. So, can Granville please stop with all the hysterical student enrollment concerns and allow Newark and Heath to do what’s best for their communities??- Gahanna: Developments and News
Ahhhhhh...So at the expense of offending people...they drastically hurt the kids instead, because attending Gahanna in this form, it hurts their opportunity to participate in extra curricular activities...BIG TIME!! Makes total sense...don't worry about the kids being impacted...worry about the offended parents isntead. Got it. edit...i've been to GLHS a million times and i can say this with certainty...it needs split. Period!- Gahanna: Developments and News
That is going to be one MASSIVE high school!! Why didn't Gahanna ever consider splitting into two schools? Gahanna Lincoln and Gahanna Jefferson just seems too easy to do. There is not a lot of opportunity for kids to actually make a team, play and be active in sports at Gahanna. Very limited opportunity!!- Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
For cryin out loud Cleveland…this is going to turn into a dam circus!- Dublin: Bridge Park / Bridge Street District Developments and News
OhioFinest replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionSorry if somebody already answered this...but what is the status of the Dublin Fieldhouse??? I know this may not seem like a huge need for some, but Central Ohio needs a high school venue of this size...DESPERATELY!!! The Central District OHSAA tournament is a joke. I sure hope this wasn't scrapped?- Newark: Developments and News
OhioFinest replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionSuch a shame. Sounds like the historic "The Avalon Building" could be demolished after it caught fire last weekend. As stated in the article, hopefully they can get something designed and rebuilt at this location...would be cool to even see some height with a new building. https://www.newarkadvocate.com/story/news/local/2024/03/29/newarks-avalon-building-in-danger-of-demolition-like-25-years-ago/73121218007/ - Newark: Developments and News
