  1. I was driving down 670 West this morning, and I could see it peaking up from the distance. Looks like it’s all set up!
  2. I hope there’s something I can do for penance 😅 No, I know a few people who work over there and have mentioned the new projects, so I knew something was in the works, but I didn’t want to post anything since it was more hear-say for me. Next time I’ll have to dig deeper so I can give you guys the scoop 😂 ETA: it is my understanding though that they intend to develop all the land down E Livingston to 4th, which is currently surface lot and a church.
  3. I figured this news would be dropping soon. I’m excited to see their expansion, both with the new IP tower and the new ASC. Livingston is going to be a completely different animal over the course of this decade.
  4. Exactly. I’m not a big fan of the name, but I wasn’t a big fan of Mapfre either, and it ended up growing on me.
  5. Exactly. Just like when I had lived at Gravity, I knew living on Broad and having train tracks wrapping around the back, there would be noise. People know what they’re signing up for.
  6. An update on this project: Kroger Bakery redevelopment delayed as neighbor Abbott raises concerns ”The Columbus Development Commission Thursday night voted to table the rezoning of 457 Cleveland Ave., which would have changed the use of the 9.43-acre site from manufacturing to apartment residential. It’s the second month in a row the proposal was tabled...Tom Evers, vice president of U.S. government affairs, said the area is historically manufacturing and residential use is incompatible with the work Abbott has been doing there for decades. The company is concerned that residents would be upset with Abbott’s 24-7 operations, including lights at loading docks throughout the night and noise from semi-trucks and other vehicles in transit.” https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2021/06/10/kroger-bakery-redevelopment-delayed-as-abbott-rais.html?ana=TRUEANTHEMFB_CO&csrc=6398&utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+Trending+Content&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR1hH95wjr2Hh99afBHznWC8_qcGw8Q2YPXnyp5cjI_L_jPDom6NwqoHqzc I think this is a pretty creative use of this space, so I hope they’re eventually able to find a way to move forward with it.
  7. Nationwide Children's, Ronald McDonald House seek room to expand with rezoning request “A three-story residential and office building with community space is planned after five homes are demolished behind Ronald McDonald House, according to an engineering site plan filed in May by Continental Real Estate Cos.” https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2021/06/08/nationwide-childrens-ronald-mcdonald-rezoning.html
  8. Wonder if it’s been a supply issue? Or funding related.
  9. I believe this one will put us at 19? Three on OSU’s west campus, 2 on the academic campus, four on the med campus, 1 at the Danbury senior living on 5th, 2 at CMM’s new campus, 1 at Hilton, 1 at Children’s, 2 at the Peninsula, 1 at Gravity, and 1 at Library Park.
  10. That’s incredible. I would love to see this fully built out in my lifetime. It’ll be so amazing to see it fully developed one day.
  11. I love these, really good for taking in all the details of this site and Gravity 2.0 as well. Just wondering, anyone have a guess on how long we might see it take to see the full build out of the Peninsula?
  12. I was talking to a representative earlier this week, and he told me to expect single game tickets to go on sale either first or second week of June. Basically just trying to figure out the lifting of covid restrictions and all that.
  13. That old Family Dollar site is such an eye sore. I’m surprised it’s sat like that this long.
  14. I like the idea of reproducing the murals on the Long St building. Also like more apartment units coming online. Too bad still no proposal for a new grocer in the area, however.
  15. Might be it, especially if they’re wanting to eliminate surface parking along Livingston. Good find!
  16. I believe this demo next to the newest research building started yesterday. Anyone know if there’s current plans to build over it?
  17. As @TH3BUDDHAmentioned in the UA thread yesterday, the third crane for the WMC tower is going up. Taken today from Cannon.
  18. So many new projects proposed/beginning the past few months, it’s getting difficult to keep track of them all 😂
  19. Plus, we should be seeing one for the VV senior living tower too, right? I thought I’d send an application posted; hopefully, I’m not making that up lol
  20. Based on the site plans and how it looks from Broad, I would say yes. I’ll have to try to get a better look this week.
  21. Sorry for the 💩 quality, but it looks like they finished getting the second tower crane up the other day 😱
  22. Mixed-Use Project Planned for Parsons Avenue “Final plans call for the building to hold two studio apartments, eight one-bedroom units, and two two-bedroom units. A first floor commercial space will offer about 800 square feet of space, and a rear parking lot will provide space for 12 cars.” https://www.columbusunderground.com/mixed-use-project-planned-for-parsons-avenue-bw1?fbclid=IwAR2RjxKu878mlgTGjnFQVxsq_LuJO5DMokMZb4XMBbWuO2d_QMguFOFpbkk
  23. Bummed the opening got pushed back a month, but still so excited to see this open.
