Columbus: Children's Hospital Projects
amped91 replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI hope there’s something I can do for penance 😅 No, I know a few people who work over there and have mentioned the new projects, so I knew something was in the works, but I didn’t want to post anything since it was more hear-say for me. Next time I’ll have to dig deeper so I can give you guys the scoop 😂 ETA: it is my understanding though that they intend to develop all the land down E Livingston to 4th, which is currently surface lot and a church.

Columbus: Children's Hospital Projects
amped91 replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI figured this news would be dropping soon. I’m excited to see their expansion, both with the new IP tower and the new ASC. Livingston is going to be a completely different animal over the course of this decade.

Exactly. I’m not a big fan of the name, but I wasn’t a big fan of Mapfre either, and it ended up growing on me.

Columbus: Downtown: The Assembly (Former Kroger Bakery)
Exactly. Just like when I had lived at Gravity, I knew living on Broad and having train tracks wrapping around the back, there would be noise. People know what they’re signing up for.

Columbus: Downtown: The Assembly (Former Kroger Bakery)
An update on this project: Kroger Bakery redevelopment delayed as neighbor Abbott raises concerns ”The Columbus Development Commission Thursday night voted to table the rezoning of 457 Cleveland Ave., which would have changed the use of the 9.43-acre site from manufacturing to apartment residential. It’s the second month in a row the proposal was tabled...Tom Evers, vice president of U.S. government affairs, said the area is historically manufacturing and residential use is incompatible with the work Abbott has been doing there for decades. The company is concerned that residents would be upset with Abbott’s 24-7 operations, including lights at loading docks throughout the night and noise from semi-trucks and other vehicles in transit.” https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2021/06/10/kroger-bakery-redevelopment-delayed-as-abbott-rais.html?ana=TRUEANTHEMFB_CO&csrc=6398&utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+Trending+Content&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR1hH95wjr2Hh99afBHznWC8_qcGw8Q2YPXnyp5cjI_L_jPDom6NwqoHqzc I think this is a pretty creative use of this space, so I hope they’re eventually able to find a way to move forward with it.

Columbus: Scioto Peninsula Developments and News
I love these, really good for taking in all the details of this site and Gravity 2.0 as well. Just wondering, anyone have a guess on how long we might see it take to see the full build out of the Peninsula?

I was talking to a representative earlier this week, and he told me to expect single game tickets to go on sale either first or second week of June. Basically just trying to figure out the lifting of covid restrictions and all that.
