  1. Nice find! Here is the source image from the Enquirer October 18, 1960 (Page 13 of 46)
  2. add turtle lamps back please
  3. Ha - they probably didn't bother to step outside to smoke then
  4. Behind the Friedmans Furs pictured there still is an old clock from the era
  5. Thanks for the insight to the reasoning. For sure it's important to always look both ways (and both pedestrians and drivers need to put down phones). 2 existing intersections like the proposed are 4th/Broadway and 3rd/Central Ave.
  6. I'm curious to hear the arguments on how this would help but my first instinct (I live off off Race between 6th/7th) is that it would be more dangerous for pedestrian traffic as you have cars coming from multiple directions. Seems the city has given up on using any law enforcement to curb issues. The dirt bike dudes certainly didn't seem to care during last month's "traffic blitz"
  7. It's hard to tell from the render but I walk through that parking lot quite a bit and Portman seems like it would be massive. I'm curious what the expected square footage would be.
  8. originally the brick used to wrap it and hosted the name of the hotel. I recall it having a water reservoir there but was later removed
  9. windows being removed from restaurant section as well
  10. lobby windows being removed as well as the water reservoir support
  11. auction was scheduled for friday july 29 - anyone know the results? https://rosewoodrg.com/properties/mixed-use/cincinnati/ohio-bankruptcy-sale/
  12. my favorite line from the article "Ten percent of the apartments will be affordable, officials said."
  13. anyone know what is going on with this building? can’t see in the photo but at night you can see some of the floors are gutted
