Has anyone heard of any development news for the Montgomery Inn? I don’t remember seeing it as part of the original plans. I would be perfectly fine with another super popular restaurant chain coming in from another city or region and taking over that space, but if not I could see it being a great location for a large amount 10+ story residential tower at Bridge Park. The only problem is those residents crossing West Dublin Granville to the actual BP development. You would need like another underground tunnel or a bridge over the street for safe passage. Thoughts?

Maybe it will even wake Millennial Tower up from its slumber lol here’s hoping

Does anyone else find it somewhat concerning (now that Hilton Tower will be finishing up this year) that we don’t have any other hotel projects starting or even proposed. Also for clarity I’m talking mainly stand alone hotels in the downtown area, not mixed projects because I know NMT has a hotel component and Scioto Peninsula has a hotel component to it. In 2022 I would love for us to either get another big name brand hotel tower proposed OR a higher end name brand hotel proposed. Any thoughts?

Think we will see a huge uptick in housing proposals in and around New Albany/ Gahanna/ Blacklick/ the city in general because of this or will that take some time?

Just wondering what your objections to this being built are. Not trying to be a D at all just trying to learn why the new building would be a bad idea based off what is currently there. Sometimes I get in the mindset of “bring all new development on no matter what” so I’m trying to break out of that when necessary. I do actually like the look of the new building but I wish it was closer to doubled in height with some ground floor retail.

Believe this thread is where this belongs. Looks like a larger retail building is being built on the NW corner of Cleveland Ave. and 5th Ave. Missed opportunity with ni residential units above the retail but at least this area is filling up some.

This was on my development wish list for 2021. Maybe 2022 we will see some proposals for these two sites.

This lot should be the next grandview yard apartment complex. It should be starting in January.

Not sure if this has been posted or not but this complex is being built by Elford which is the same company as The Reach. Surprised they started on another project because I’ve heard The Reach is struggling a little to get leased up.

Such a good location for this. I imagine a lot of arena district and even short north people will take advantage of the late night eats after going out.
