It’s crazy to me how long this project is expected to take. When they announced coming in 2025 I figured it wouldn’t even start for another year or so. I mean I know it’s massive but 4 full years is a long time.

I’m not sure how close to the walls of the tracks the buildings will be but I hope if there’s room Kaufman should cover them with murals all the down.

I promise i love our new stadium and I don’t want to be this guy but......I saw a video of Cincinnati’s stadium doing some kind of light show on the exterior that was super cool and I got very jealous. The lighting feature may have just put their stadium over the top for me as far as aesthetics. I think we will have a much better game day experience because of location and how loud it will get.

Agreed I hope R&R 2.0 gets started soon and the development of the old church on McDowell needs to happen asap. The more flow from R&R to Gravity the better.

Damn now I’m mad they aren’t going with that version it’s 100x better.

That new mural looks amazing. Hope the short north arts district continues to add permanent murals like this one. So much room for improvement. It’s funny you say that because I thought the same thing. Awhile ago I dm’d them on Instagram about that wall and told them they should do some kind of mural maybe gay pride inspired but they didn’t respond to me. I know they had a plan to add another story to the building at one point but haven’t heard anything about that in years. Off topic but I also think the building in arena district that the club Dahlia is in should have a mural on it. A big Dahlia mural would look cool on the front. Also dm’d them with the suggestion and got no response lol

Not exactly development news but I like the new signage for Urban Chophouse at Luxe 23. This is an Urban Meyer and Chris Corso joint venture. The sign is obviously a play on the Chicago theatre sign but I think it looks good. Now I kind of want someone to put one up that says Columbus.

Looks great and I like the mural being implemented. Also it really doesn’t take much to turn a garage into something aesthetically pleasing so when developers don’t do it it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Sometimes.......I really hate this city. Not the news I wanted to see.

Particularly happy they requested the developers doing something creative with the parking garage. Just no more metal wavy curtains please and thank you.

I feel like it’s flat enough now can they start building up please lol I’m arguable more excited for gravity 2.0 and scioto pen. than I am for any other developments.

This is going to be great for the neighborhood. Wish he would squash the bocce ball court idea I feel like those never get used and are a waste of space that could be used for something better.

Short North remodel aims to attract new restaurant I reallyyy want to know what restaurant he was hinting at in the article.

Part of me wishes this was going in the check cashing space or family dollar space but Ill take infill wherever I can get it.

They need to start this yesterday

Noticed this building was being tore down but I don’t remember any development news from this location but I could have just missed it. Ive also noticed some people going in and out of this building doing some interior work but don’t remember seeing any news about it either.

Looks like Easton will be getting a WXYZ bar like the Aloft on Olentangy. The Easton expansion is really leaning into the nightlife aspect.
