If I could believe me I would! They always go the safe route and I wish they would be bold for once on any development. Also just way too little ground floor retail in their projects.

Talked to someone at NRI they said they are going to be starting the apartments on the gravel lot very soon as well. Didn’t give a date but still good news.

Off topic but Columbus needs more downtown amenities and attractions. I would love it if a project like this downtown aquarium could get reintroduced. Someone smarter than me should email the Columbus zoo about it.

Yes! In my opinion this is one of the most important downtown projects right now. Downtown needs as many cheap/free amenities as possible

Is anybody concerned at the lack of proposals lately? Doby get me wrong I know the financial situation isn’t ideal for these companies but the fact that it’s been slowed down this much is cause for concern in my opinion. I also would like to see a new downtown hotel proposal soon. As much as housing downtown is important I think we need more hotels as well. The Junto is great but I’d like to see a new national chain take a chance on downtown Columbus. Doesn’t have to be anything high end like Ritz Carlton but something like a W hotel or something in that realm.

Thank you Kauffman! He is not playing around and I love it. Once Gravity is done I hope he heads over to Brewery District and adds some flavor.

I hope you’re right but I wish we would see some more proposals for the AD. I feel like the only area downtown that is more underutilized is the a Brewery District
