  1. What’s everybody’s best guess on when the stalled condo building will get started again?
  2. I think I saw that they aren’t having any tvs or maybe like one small one which i thought was kind of a missed opportunity because this could be a sick place to watch osu/crew/cbj games.
  3. Have they started work on the market aspect of this project yet?
  4. Feel like developers should lean into more residential development in crosswords because it’s so central and has quick access to so many highways
  5. The one thing I always wished about the short north was that it was more than just one strip and rather a neighborhood with things going on in the alleyways, basements, upper floors of buildings, etc. Always just felt kind of one dimensional but I think that is finally changing some.
  6. Hopefully the elevated park gets started in 2023
  7. Highly doubt we are getting a Starbucks Roastery but fingers crossed. The only place in Columbus I could see that going is Easton but even still they are super selective on the cities they put them in.
  8. I guess my point is I hope these areas will have lively streets unlike the rest of downtown on a normal day.
  9. Was driving around gravity 2 & Scioto peninsula the other day and I noticed that It doesn’t feel like there’s a lot of retail spaces in the projects. They will still be great for the area/downtown but I don’t know how much a person who lives in Columbus but not in either development will actually want to be over there. I can’t imagine there will be much to do over there other than like tafts brewporium.
  10. i’ve noticed multiple store fronts downtown/short north have started to open up a little window art exhibits. Maybe it’s something like that.
  11. couldn’t they have went with “CarmentoWn” instead of “Carmenton”.
  12. Really hope this succeeds but I always get nervous with businesses like this that kind of feels like a master of none. Will also be tough in an area with not much else around it but hopefully they kill it and spark something in that area.
  13. I believe that mystery building you referred to is going to be a Bank of America branch with another retail space next to it. The owner of Clean Eatz is trying to open up in that space but Grandview Yard is giving him a hard time for some reason.
  14. Exactly how this neighborhood should look. No blank walls anywhere.
  15. Ran by this the other day and was really hoping something halfway decent in size would be put there. Bummer.
  16. Parkside on Pearl is exactly what I wish would be going in the check cashing place lot. Has there been any talk about what will replace the family dollar. I’m shocked that is still sitting there vacant.
  17. Thanks for that info! I hope they can find a tenant soon, it’s kind of an eyesore right now next to the awesome 2.0 project. Wouldn’t be a bad spot for another brewery, maybe one of the popular ones from a close city like Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Detroit, Pittsburgh, etc. I just hope it’s something fun and not a medical or office type of renter.
  18. Hey I know of a couple lots downtown that could use some towers 🥲
  19. I freaking love The Morgan. I’d like to see an iteration of those same builds in every neighborhood.
  20. Phase II announcement can’t come soon enough!
  21. This may have been posted in here but does anyone know what that grey stone building shown in this photo is going to be repurposed into. Or have their been any plans announced? this building, the vacant building next to Brewdog with the bunny on it and the two buildings to the east of River and Rich all need someone to come in and rehab them ASAP.
  22. Agreed! I’m impatiently waiting to see construction start on the elevated park. Have they announced when it is supposed to start or any news on that?
  23. I hate to see a black owned business pushed out of that neighborhood but that hookah bar has had a lot of crime occur there unfortunately so I think redevelopment is a good option.
  24. I run past this often and always say it would be great for redevelopment. I hope they build the new structure up on 5th with no parking in the front.
  25. Am I the only one who is concerned about the lack of new proposals for the downtown core? I know there are a few things under construction currently (not nearly enough) but I feel like news for new proposals has slowed to almost a halt. Granted take what I’m saying with a slight grain of salt as I was just in Minneapolis, Chicago and Toronto recently so my perspective is a little warped but nonetheless I’m still worried. We are just so far behind it seems. Also side note but I was shocked to see St. Paul has a much more developed skyline than we do :(
