Very curious why you say the greyhound development will be that tall? You’re not the only one here who I’ve seen say this but I’m just curious why that is. I feel like they said a substantial development would be built there but I think their idea of that and our idea is very different unfortunately.

Nope looks like they just had the artist paint it with the other murals over there by the cap. Honestly I’m not even surprised they flaked on the plan.

Looks like they just had this artist paint this mural on the wood planks next to Hyde Park. Such a shame in my opinion. Short North makes me so mad with their conservative approach to the art they allow.

This is the bridge I’m referring to. Wouldn’t it be possible to build a pedestrian bridge on this already existing one? Am I crazy or does no one else think this is a viable option? I’m all for a new bridge being built especially if it’s going to be something awesome but I’m the meantime this could be a solution.

I wonder what brand of hotel it will be. Hope it’s something new to Columbus!

Pardon me if it’s a dumb question but instead of building a brand new pedestrian bridge from Arena District to Franklinton couldn’t they just build something attached to the existing railroad bridge that goes across for pedestrians to use? Seems like it would be way cheaper/quicker. Sidenote I tried to upload pictures if said bridge and for some reason anything I try to upload says it’s too large. Never had this issue before. Any help?

I feel like they will definitely need to put up some type of barrier on the corner with how many people drive in the buildings in Columbus. Wish I was kidding. I could definitely see someone going right through this huge glass window.

Has anybody seen or heard any updates from the Hoster Brewery renovation project? The last thing Schooley Caldwell posted about it on their Instagram was from January and I don’t think I see anyone working there when I drive by from the outside at least.

They do but I just don’t see it happening. The city is always behind on good ideas like this smh. Was talked about before but never executed.

Greyhound has been using the COTA building down there for their passengers and I guess the residents at Highpoint are moving out because of all the extra people hanging out around that area. I hope they can get something figured out for that area that makes sense for everyone. Wish they would have thought about it before closing the Greyhound building.

There’s definitely alot currently in construction but I feel there’s been a big fall off of future proposals (obviously I know the economy has taken a hit and that’s partially why) but I think I got spoiled for the last 5 years or so when it felt like there were small, medium and large proposals being announced frequently. They got me hooked and now I need my fix! a 15+ story tower would quench me for a a couple weeks though.

Anybody else jonesing for some new proposal announcements? I feel like I haven’t had any super juicy proposals that quenched my thirst in awhile. Granted I have a large beak I’m like a pelican but still.

The building next to that new pharmacy needs to get that facelift that was proposed so so bad. Hope they is still happening.

Look/design/aesthetic wise how do you feel about the Hilton tower in Cleveland compared to our Hilton tower? I really don’t have a strong opinion I’m just curious what others think.

I was just thinking this, Grandview is lowkey becoming an area with some solid murals and this was has a lot of visibility so I really hope they keep it. I may message HCT on social media to advocate for that.

Really wish they would be a little more daring with their apartment designs at BP, or do more townhome style options (I know some are under construction just up the road).

Didn’t even know about this project. It would be awesome if they could transform like 10-15 other old factories into apartments like they did with Wonder Bread. Love the way those loft style apartments look.
