Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Wow they're really cruising on this bad boy

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
This is a development that i really hope doesnt start falling through the cracks, Theyve already churned up the greenspace for staging where this is supposed to stand, correct? If unexpected cost issues were a thing back then I can only imagine the numbers today. Not completing circle square is so quintessential Cleveland, where we always fall short and the rest of us gotta reminisce about "what could have been". I beg the city to do everything it can to make this thing happen. Positive vibes, positives vibes.. woo-sah woo-sah

Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
Couldn't agree more, tennis in land makes me curl into a ball. Cleveland Open is a perfect choice how can we make this happen?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Seeing the 8 story hotel still being in the works is great. If I'm understanding correctly it's gobbling up that parking lot, right?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Im excited to see these finished i always felt like the renderings had promise.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Irishtown Bend Park
Seeing the multiple phases of the quarter and the larger building I forget the name of really goes to show how desperately needed that infill is. Now we need a little more!

Cleveland: Clark-Fulton: BVQ District
Kick ass! The rendering shows a lot of promise, though I do hope it's a little more matte and not as glossy but I'll survive. Coming off barber you really feel like you're coming out of a nice area into something really needing some TLC so this is great to see moving forward

Cleveland: Random Development and News
My biggest concern with the celebrezze building is the foot traffic impact downtown. So I wanted to make sure I understood the context, have most of the employees been WFH since COVID and only now been brought back downtown? I ask because In a weird way I'd feel a little better about the wind being taken from downtown sails with the impact being absorbed over these last 4 years regardless. Also I realize you can't trust anything this administration says so any promise to keeping the workforce downtown is as promising as a fart in the wind, but are the suburban options for partial employees or are they possible future homes for the vast majority?

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
I remembered hearing last year the Wellman-Seaver-Morgan restoration at 7000 is supposed to be getting renovated. Next Monday I should be over there to take a look but does anyone know if movement is still happening there?

Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
It really does surprise me that this property so close to downtown isn't spurring any takers. Wasn't there an attempt at renovating and putting an addition on to these that matched the current architecture? I hope they dont decay too fa4 which leaves me wondering are they maintained or have any current occupancy at all?

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
I wanted to mention I talked to the old man and he was at the block club meeting that talked about the fate of the three houses on w14th. He said it's two owners, one owns two and the other one. During the block club one of the owners has been in the house for 30yrs and mentioned he was ready for a more "modern home". He also said that his kitchen is also too small so sacrificing multiple century homes does make a lot sense. The idea that they'd build somewhere like an empty lot isn't an option since this seems spear headed by the owners and they want to stay in the immediate area. The lack of historical designation on this stretch means there aren't many barriers for anyone hoping it doesn't happen. Ironically there were zero objections at the block club which surprises me because I feel like if anything would be NIMBYd this would be it

Cleveland: University Circle: Skyline on Stokes
densification baby! That whole area has just truly been an incredible expansion and transformation.

Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
My exact question! Im worried the RTA is in a situation where just about anything added takes away from something else, no? I think Scranton will need a little more development to justify opening/extending bus lines? Im not entirely certain how that works As an aside is there any plans to maybe save and integrate this neat little brick structure here? It would make my day if someone were to tell me it is not on the chopping block. Integrating the old and new in an area like this really helps it feel more lived in. My worry is the city, developers and everyone involved will be so caught up in the new-ness of it all that itll just be pushed to the wayside. I do realize contamination is a possible problem but in the end I hope there is real consideration for integration. *photo is taken from earlier in the thread.

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
Someone who is a tremont oldy and goes to all the block club meetings mentioned to me this something the owners of the property specifically wanted. Where his info is from I don't know, but he has generally been someone "in the know". I'll see him tomorrow and prod him again for those details maybe there will be something illuminating.

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
Can anyone post the text of this crains article? my head might literally explode if these a******* in DC yoink HUD funding. They'll give themselves a 4.5 trillion tax break at the drop of a hat and then pinch pennies for us. My hope is if the city will give the haslams booku- bucks maybe they will pitch in more for warner and swasey

Lakewood: Development and News
FutureboyWonder replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Northeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionSo wait.. I don't follow lakewood news too often, but what the hell happened to the hospital site housing roundstone? Now they're leaving lakewood? I think we definitely have a contender for a NEO city dropping the ball harder than cleveland typically used to. What's the city administration doing that's making development so hard?

Absolutely love seeing this little adorable brick guy back in action. Even though I'm not a drinker I do hope they have much success

Cleveland: Clark–Fulton / Stockyards: Development and News
This is on the corner of w44th and fenwick. B.F. Tyler house, I guess he was an OG developer in Ohio city. This joint has lasted almost 200 years and all the information I could find was it listed under "future projects" for Cleveland Bricks and some zillow listing. Anyone been near the area to know if they're is anything going on or have any info? *I added a screen shot of some records i found in the city database. Not only do i feel like im doing something wrong using the search but after opening the record and even selecting the "record info" button it's all blank.

Cleveland: Brooklyn Centre / Old Brooklyn: Development and News
“I personally don’t object to the revision of use based on what you’re building adjacent to it,” said Landmarks Commission Chair Julie Trott. “I think we just want to look at the architecture to make sure that it blends with the neighborhood appropriately for that new use because this is a drastic change.” Am I just confused here or what because it feels like Landmarks sure is. It's not like i want to let developers build slap dash all over the city, but If they're proposing turning a portion of the townhome units to apartments what does that have to do with architecture and preserving the neighborhood? I didn't get the sense that redesigning the buildings was part of the new use or did I miss that? This and bridgeworks are a poster child to how developers get bogged down with the commission and then the two can never get on the same page I couldn't agree more with Almiroudis that tariffs and interests are probably going to be a big threat to this and projects all over cleveland.

Cleveland: Duck Island: Development and News
Love it ir hate it Duck Island is officially it's own novel little architectural island in cleveland, ain't it?

Cleveland: Glenville: Development and News
Has the design changed much in the interim? The rendering looks nice I'm really digging it. The balconies remind of that old school cleveland look that's on the front of many pre-war apartments

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
Cleveland really doesn't have the luxury of falling short on amenities like this. I feel like building such as skyline tend to appeal to wealthier Americans moving from places like NYC or San Francisco as well as NEO suburbanites looking for city living. If this is what they're greeted with.. yikes I'd be embarrassed.

Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
Imo flats infill would be amazing, I feel like that area of downtown has been slow in the last few years and I'd hate to see more of the unused stock decayed past the point of no return. Some of the photos @MayDayposted remind me of historical photos of cleveland when we had housing on the river with the way they sit right on the edge. I do wish these structures had more brick though. Would have really fit the entire vibe of flats/Scranton peninsula lost history. Or maybe I just like brick
