Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
I don't think they'll be happy until they've demolished all of Cleveland and all that's standing is their craptacular turd of a building.

Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
I thought all the buildings on the other (north) side of Euclid between Huntington Bank and the Statler Arms were purchased with an eye towards mixed use renovation? Of course I assume nothing will happen at a minimum until ECP is done.

I really like the cluster it forms with the tower and rotunda. In and of itself.. eh.

Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
This is a great to read!! Without knowing anything else about the guy, he's instantly turned me into a huge fan. Plus I love the Project Runway reference, that show rocks.. BTW, several camera shots during snow delays at the Indian's home opener framed the tower quite nicely. It looked like a beaut IMO with the cascading snow and all. Just yet another reminder of how the landscape will be changed for the worse if it is demolished.

internet providers in the Flats (of Cleveland)...
my gf uses the AT&T Yahoo DSL service in Lakwood for $15/mo and has been pretty happy with it, although she hardly uses it. Next time I'm over there I can use a bandwidth check on it, I'm guessing it's going to be a little slow but personally a little slower is ok as long as it's stable. My TWC RoadRunner is still out -- 12 hours and counting.

Well, for the second time in two weeks I've experienced a significant outage since the conversion to TWC RoadRunner.. I'm not sure I can tell you with such certainty anymore that you'd probably be happy with that service. What the hell is this? Sure glad I have that DSL line getting installed tomorrow.

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
Have any pedestrians been hit crossing Euclid at E9th yet? The way they've got the crosswalks constricted seems incredibly dangerous.. I don't blame you for being nervous.

Cleveland: Downtown Cleveland Alliance News & Discussion
According to this PDF they interceded in 300 instances of aggressive panhandling and 2,000 instances of "passive" panhandling. It would be interesting to see if they respond to calls made to that number posted by jmc8651 regarding panhandling.

^Good suggestion.. I just saw a commercial on CNN advertising Michigan to high-tech employers.. We should start ads there for the high-tech employees.

Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
Speaking of which, I was amazed the first time I found the little city that exists under the Huntington building.. Too bad there isn't anything really good enough draw people to it, it's a pretty cool area.

Seems like a fairly reasonable law to me, but perhaps over-reaching a bit.. I mean "Continuing to solicit from a person after the person has given a negative response" constitutes aggressive behavior? Thpt.. Persistent maybe, but that doesn't constitute aggressive in and of itself. Unless it is supposed to be taken collectively with the other lettered items.

internet providers in the Flats (of Cleveland)...
Well after losing my cable Internet for three days during the Adelphia to TWC transition without any prior notice I am in the process of dumping cable and going Speakeasy DSL (sorry MTS -- TWC's TV offering is great though, especially the HD stuff). Specifically I'm going with their business-class 6 mbps down / 768 kbps up OneLink ("naked DSL" -- it doesn't require you have a phone line) offering. It will be costing me about $130/mo but includes probably a lot more than what you need unless you're running a business out of your apartment (things like 8 static IP address, 99.9% guanranteed up-time, priority service, etc). I've heard nothing but good things from Speakeasy, although they did just get purchase by Best Buy and lots of people are predicting they'll turn to the dark side of horrible customer service and shoddy business practices like everything else Best Buy touches. And to be honest I was pretty happy with Adelphia/TWC cable until the burp last weekend -- it was just too much for me to take. If you go with them you'll probably be happy.

Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
I haven't really been following the thread, but it seems to me that the consultants are discounting commuters' ability to, oh I don't know, find another route downtown? If they were all robot-like automata incapable of adapting, then perhaps I could see their point.

Cool picture.. With the ECP construction you can see the old trolley tracks exposed briefly at points until they rip them up and toss them.
