  1. I can see an entrance onto the Olentangy Trail from my home office window. I'll get a pitch counter and start counting how many I see everyday lol.
  2. This angle actually does a great job of making things seem closer together!
  3. Maybe they're misinterpreting the name as "Height Street"?
  4. This is Columbus, even our "dangerous" areas are like a Disney theme park compared to actually dangerous cities in this country. There is nowhere in Central Ohio that even comes close to being on a level like a place such as East Cleveland for example.
  5. I just really hope our next tall boy ends up filling in a gap because our last two just kinda extended our super wide and spread out skyline. It's incredibly hard to get a good picture of the Columbus skyline that actually includes ALL of the buildings.
  6. What? That's just an ignorant thing to say. Linden is full of nice people just living their life and is an area with a fair amount of foot traffic and a lot of people living there. Probably a part of the city we should be devoting even more resources to improving the walking and biking infrastructure in. If you're too scared to go there that's one thing, but don't blame the people of Linden for your cowardice.
  7. When you're heading on 71 south past downtown, you can see this poking above the buildings now from the highway.
  8. Literally seeing this design I thought to myself "that's a hotel I'd be disappointed to pull up to because you know it's super outdated just by looking at it".
  9. What? I live on a bike trail and it's insanely heavily used all year round. This is Ohio not Siberia, the winters aren't that bad you can bike all year long and it's actually way more comfortable to commute via bike in the cold compared to the heat. They also make different types of clothing that are thicker and warmer for colder weather such as jackets and long sleeve shirts in case you weren't aware. The bicycle infrastructure is only improving as well. More bike lanes on public roadways are going in and dedicated bike/walking trails are being expanded.
  10. I really wish to legally call a development "mixed use", it also had to have a mix of ways to access the development being car, bike, foot and public transit. That's great if the uses are mixed, but not so great if we need to surround it with a sea of parking because the only way to get there is by car.
  11. It sure deters me from eating at places like Katzingers, but also the fact that they aren't that great also deters me. I know plenty of people are happy to sit next to a highway and suck down exhaust fumes, it's the American way. But I personally don't enjoy it.
  12. I feel like a beer hall or something similar where you're sitting outside wouldn't be very enjoyable next to a massive loud highway.
  13. Going to be a rush of abandoned mall exploring YouTubers to Columbus to get in there again before it comes down.
  14. Probably a soon to be former architect because I don't know if anyone will ever hire them again.
  15. Sounds fishy to me.... Where did the money go?
  16. I'm usually one of the more outspoken "let's try not to be so negative" types on here but...... it looks like a toddler designed this building. At least it serves a useful function, but sadly we have to look at it with our eyes.
  17. I really hope they don't need to, but I have to imagine this would be a slam dunk for Noor in court if they do have to sue or whatever the proper legal term is.
  18. Those are actually rustic features, you will get to pay extra for those as a renter in the area.
  19. I'd say they're going to have a hard time arguing this is "transformational". It just really isn't at all. Everyone will still need to drive here.
  20. Ooooh, whoops I misread that. Makes sense if it's zoned commercial or mixed use.
  21. Why do they need a variance for ground floor retail?! Isn't this the sight of a dilapidated Pizza Hut and an abandoned cellphone store?
  22. What's wrong with the name Carmentowntonville? It rolls off the tongue!
  23. Welcome back! Columbus missed you I'm sure.
  24. We might have a situation in the not too distant future where projects are getting rejected because "we don't want that here" and that'll be accepted as a valid reason for disapproval.
