  1. We don't know that yet!
  2. If I knew how to do a facepalm emoji on here it would be where this sentence is. I probably commented on and was one of the likes on that post lol. Thank you! Edit: Yeah I literally wrote a 5 paragraph response to that lol!
  3. They drive me crazy even just driving around my neighborhood. Got cool restaurants, shops and a nice walkable area all clouded by a mess of wires above. Just isn't a good look when taking people to the "nice" areas and it's just a bunch of wires everywhere. Just so unsightly!
  4. Is there a list of all the projects that got the credit? I'm not a subscriber so I can't read the article. I'm curious to see if the Arcade Mall in Newark also got this, if they applied that is.
  5. The view looking south from the top of this thing will probably be pretty cool! Can't wait to see those pictures on here in 2025 or 2026!
  6. Man do these pictures really make me wish there was a bigger push to bury power lines. They make nice streets look so crappy.
  7. Completely agree with your idea for some kind of ground level pedestrian cut through. Would make a ton of sense so this beast isn't blocking easy access to the rest of the peninsula. I would see them not doing it though because it will mess with the way they can organize whatever will be on the ground level. If it's the garage though, there should absolutely be a way to cut through and I feel like that wouldn't be difficult to do at all.
  8. @CbusOrBustJust know everybody here want's you to keep posting photos! Take them with an old Nokia from the 1990s for all we care!
  9. I'm all for more public art installations anywhere in the city!
  10. I would imagine around that. Not sure if the 4 floors of parking garage was included in that 34 stories.
  11. I'm pretty happy for anything over 300ft but it would be absolutely amazing to see a tower proposed at 600+ft.
  12. I'm thinking the same thing! I know I've said it on here before, but I really do think we are about to see a height boom this decade similar to what Nashville and Austin saw in the past 10 or so years. If you go check out both of those cities "tallest building" wikis it seems half of the tallest buildings in both cities were built in the 2010s and more are currently under construction. I'm very optimistic about us joining that trend!
  13. Very exciting! Would be cool if there are always at least 2 300ft+ buildings being constructed at any given time this decade.
  14. I'll fight you on this! One of the worst Kroger stores I've ever been to, possibly the worst! It's so narrow, they have the tiniest selection (they don't even carry some of the items I get on every shopping trip), the shelves are often barren and the produce is often way too close to spoiled or actually covered in mold.
  15. I wouldn't be calling Sheetz a gas station! The Sheetz fans will come in here to get you!
  16. 3 stores within walking distance and they either fall under the category of "terrible" or "expensive" sadly. That Kroger right on N. Broadway is one of the crappiest grocery stores I've ever been to. The Giant Eagle in Clintonville also dedicates way too much space to alcohol and have relatively small selections in other departments because of it. Lucky's is awesome but it's tough to do full shopping trips there as you'll spend $250. If I need to do full shopping trips and be budget conscious I usually drive to UA Kroger or something.
  17. I did not know those buildings had central courtyards, that's pretty cool. That holdout house, if they play it right, could be worth a ton of money in the future. And if they play it wrong, they could miss the opportunity and be stuck there forever unable to sell.
  18. First, we have a Red Brick District? And second, pretty badass of them to make that affordable housing stipulation in the terms of sale. I'd like to see more of that as some of these older shorter buildings around downtown that don't have any historic significance start getting sold off to be redeveloped into taller mixed uses.
  19. I wonder if for the single family houses they are selling individual lots to developers or waiting for people to buy the lots to build on it. My parents new house in Newark is in a neighborhood that was built like this. Not all cookie cutter, but you can certainly tell which ones were made by the same developer and then the ones where people purchased lots and built a custom home look completely different.
  20. They build them so quick to, it's honestly impressive. I'm sure that contractor is raking on the dough.
  21. We really hit the ground running with Sheetz here in Central Ohio. Went from like 0 to 13 in a year or so!
  22. It really is exciting to see all the progress, and not just in Columbus but Central Ohio as a whole. Anytime I go anywhere in Central Ohio that I don't frequent weekly it seems like I see some kind of new project starting or for sale signs on large parcels of land. The prospect of a "west of the river" skyline is also incredibly cool. Wasn't there also another tower someone proposed within the last year for the west side of the river?
  23. Wait.... is the entire "article" that one sentence with no sources?
  24. It just seems like everything is so expensive right now. I had to buy a crappy box fan the other day and it was almost $30! Last time I bought one of those it was maybe $12.
  25. That's honestly great because that entrance/exit sucked. You almost bottom out every time you pull out onto the street if you have a sedan.
