  1. Here's what should be a non-paywalled article from Cleveland.com. It sounds like almost all of the money would go towards paying off the mortgage. Then, they would transfer the property to Cleveland Neighborhood Progress’ development arm, New Village Corp. Here's the relevant section on renovations:

This paragraph suggests that Sandra Williams has endorsed Bibb, but I don't think that's officially happened yet:

Nah, specifically referring to your never-ending, unsubstantiated refrain of "Bibb will be ineffectual to getting anything changed or accomplished because he's utterly clueless".
  5. I've been to a few, including Black Midi at Mahall's tonight. Best of the bunch so far has been Japanese Breakfast at the Agora back in August. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Maybe we should just start mentioning every few comments how Kevin Kelley is our version of Mitch McConnell: an obstructionist, career politician with next to nothing to show for it, who displays complete and utter contempt for his constituents

Oh look, Pugu's comparing Bibb to Trump again. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

I wonder if Sandra Williams will end up making an endorsement. I know from talking to her on the primary election day that she hates Kelley, but maybe she would want to hold off on endorsing in case she decides to run again in 4 years.
  10. A new LLC called 13051 Larchmere Hospitality LLC has applied for a liquor license for this location, up for approval in today's Shaker Heights City Council meeting: https://www.shakeronline.com/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Item/4307?fileID=6719 I would try to listen in for more details, but the main item on the agenda is public comment regarding the removal of the Horseshoe Lake dam, and I imagine that's going to eat up a LOT of time.
  11. Even DeWine basically said what they did wasn't wholly constitutional, so now it's up to his son (or more likely Maureen O'Connor) to join the OH Supreme Court Dems in striking it down.

Would love to hear how Kucinich and Jones supporters try to defend this: https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/democracy-2020/local-politics/five-cleveland-mayoral-candidates-say-theyre-vaccinated-one-says-not-yet-and-another-wont-say
  15. Huge bummer that they weren't able to make it, I really loved their pizza. I feel like they had a particularly hard time adapting to the changes brought on by the pandemic - they never really had great social media presence and attracted an older demo that was most at risk. I feel like if they pivoted a bit to highlight their takeout options (especially Fredo's Pizza) they would have weathered the storm better. It really is an awesome space though so I hope it doesn't stay vacant for very long

Curious, that article doesn't mention Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, or Mondaire Jones' victories for the left in 2020. Cori in particular got demolished when she first ran against Clay. If Nina chooses to run again next year, she could conceivably win, especially since Cleveland will likely be whole in the next version of the district. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
